I don't think you should have came out like that on Awai5. I think he/she just don't know how the process work.

we have to be careful how we say things to each other's because we all are here to learn and We are still learning how the process work.

I think we just must accept the fact the system is archaic, bureaucratic and rife with inefficiencies. I check the status every now and again but have the email and text alert set up. Going on to the site every day and looking, would just do my head in. I sent the apps (3)  at the beginning of September, doesn’t appear to have been transferred (yet).

This site has a lot useful information from people that are in the process or have completed the process. A lot of the information is just opinion or hope. So, like with anything else investigate research and reach your own conclusions. Clearly some people were approved in an expedited manner. It would be helpful if this was noted in some of the threads. Clearly someone approved at the I-130 stage, in 8 weeks is clearly not the norm.

Until someone at the federal level is interested in streamlining the process it will always be the same. If we look back through the years its always something. Whether security checks, N400s, I-130s etc etc. I think a while ago I-130s were taking a year to adjudicate. Have you seen the fees for USCIS fees have climbed an average of 21% since December. Why? Lack of funding from Congress.

There will always be one or two on these threads that will pontificate and start finger pointing. It’s easy to hide behind the computer. Unfortunately, we just must be patient. There is no other choice.

Wow at least you know you have to the waiver, sometimes at the interview they ask to do it and that does be another long wait. I saw that happened to few people. So that good you knew.

Yes I hope so!

Hey guys -- some info for those who have been transferred --

I like to float around on here and check out the other threads for various I-130 months...to see if I can answer questions and to see what's going on with other groups. I've recently been on the July 2016 filers and it looks like a number of them have had their cases "lost" if you will by USCIS.  :bonk:

Some of their priority dates were in early July and they were transferred to TSC or other centers around mid-November. None of them have been approved yet and haven't gotten any definite answers from USCIS. I advised them to all get Congress involved and/or make InfoPass appointments if they were in the US, because they are way outside normal processing timelines.

My intent in posting this info is not to freak anyone out -- rather to caution against sitting back and waiting for USCIS to do their job. I pray that you all get approved before the 6 month mark, and you should stay hopeful, but be proactive and aware of your rights. As soon as you hit the 6 month mark, contact congress, and call USCIS!!! You will get through. Don't let your case languish like some of these folks did. It sounds like USCIS is royally messed up.

Good luck to everyone and stay strong. Keep encouraging each other on here!

Wow Thank you for a head up, that really messed up and it’s sad to see how they just sit there and watch the clock but thank God you was able to discuss with them. I hope they do get approve soon.

So y’all know what this mean, once we mark 6 months and we call,

Just don’t give up on calling them, also watch USCIS timeline as well to see if it will change too.

Thank you for encouraging us and I wish you good luck on your interview whenever it will be.
