How do you get notified about case completion? Do do get an interview date with case completion.

The unofficial case complete that people usually wait for is getting three N/A's when they log in the consular electronic application section. The standard display before getting a case complete is two N/A's (Financial Documents and Civil Documents) and so if the third N/A shows up (under Affidavit of Support Fee), that is a sign interpreted as getting a case complete. You can confirm by calling or waiting for the official email.

You don't get an interview date right away. Usually they have to wait a few weeks on average, depending on how busy NVC is and how busy the beneficiary's US embassy is. :)

I had a hard time trying to explain to my husband last night that we had CC, he logged in and saw the 3 N/A's but couldn't understand how that meant it was approved! lol

I have honestly not seen any further information on adding countries to the ban beyond the Hammond Law Group, who did not cite any sources beyond their own website.   I would honestly take it with a grain of salt and chalk it up to fear mongering, since they are a for-profit immigration lawyer company.

Proceed with your lives as normal, do not live in fear, and enjoy your time spent with your loved ones.   Continue with filing, and take a deep breath!

Also, past 6 weeks at NVC, and all they said were "Wrote notes on your account saying you are over the 6 week line..." I am assuming they are probably backed up with these current issues, so I am trying not to pester.

I 100% agree with BethWink ... please do not believe ANYTHING you read on random lawyer blogs. They do not have any "special" information...even the WH has rolled back some provisions of their original executive order (the bit about green card holders)... its a rapidly evolving situation, stay calm guys. Please don't post rumors on here either.

I apologize for upsetting some people with my posting that lawyer website. I guess I did it thinking that this is what I would have wanted other people do for me as well, being the overpreparer that I am and seeing how crazy new orders are being implemented without prior notice and seeing that the embassies/ambassadors of the first seven countries as well as all immigration offices in all airports weren't previously informed beforehand of the ban. I personally would want to know if my country is in some sort of unofficial list so I could prepare ahead of time. I want nothing more than for that list to be wrong because my country is in it, but I do want to be somehow ready for my next steps in case that addendum is really in circulation.

Know that I posted that link with all that in mind and not for fearmongering or senseless rumor spreading.

Thank you.

Wow, that's great.  Congratulations.  Did you call and confirmed?

Yep! Its confirmed. The operator informed me that NVC will contact us when Frankfurt has scheduled an interview for my husband. I have not received any email from them yet saying "case complete" in case you are wondering. The only way I know is that when I log into the CEAC website, it has the 3 NA's and my double checking by calling.

Awesome. you are the second one in the list to get case completed. Congratulations again. :)

Did anyone send pictures with the NVC package?  VJ guide asks about sending passport size pictures, but the NVC offical checklist doesn't mention passport size pictures.

Thanks!! I will keep everyone updated on here how things continue to progress. B-)

Congrats to aidensbubba who got an interview scheduled for end March!

onek -- I 'sent' two passport sized photos with mine... even thought I was an electronic processor, I just scanned two passport photos of my husband and sent that file too. I didn't want to take any chances.

They also ask for more passport photos for the medical and for the interview.... it varies by country how many you need. In my case, Germany needs 4 for the medical and 2 for the interview. I think I've read on here that Brazil wants like 12?! Or some crazy number of passport photos for those steps.
