Hello phillygirl! I just called NVC and said dey have received our case it was sent last dec. 14... I suggest try calling too coz it seems like we bought have same processing dates since it was from nebraska and approval from uscis was dec 1 .. Good luck. Kisses from here ??

Hello branjo! Based on the several NVC threads I have read, choosing between the last year or last three years depends on what kind of employment history you want the NVC to know. For instance, if there were employment gaps 2-3 years but stable income in the last year, then people often only send the last year's tax transcripts. If you have a consistent three years of record to show, that would be fine as well.

And that is correct--FIL files an I-864 and MIL files an I-864A.

I concur with thegreatphoenix. I only sent in my last year's tax returns as I've been with the company I work at for 10 years and my income is sufficient enough by myself. I got a letter from my HR department that listed my annual salary, position, and hire date. It isn't necessary but thought it would be good.

Hi guys updating again. Called NVC and they said they assigned me a case number yesterday. So i got that. They asked for an email address, so I gave them mine but I haven't got an email from them. Are you supposed to get one right away?

They were'nt able to give me case number yet since nvc just received the packet last dec. 19, the CSR said to call back after a week since it will take them until 2 weeks to encode the cases. Gotta call on the 27th. Do let me know if ever you already have the case number. Personal message would be favorable. Thank you! Have great holidays!

Oh and we just filed the DS-261 online since they managed to give us what we needed to login and do it online. Does anyone know how long it takes for the link of the AOS fee link to show up after the agent has been chosen?

  • 03/21/21.    Received letter of acceptance 
  • 10/28/21.     Case updated to interview scheduled
  • 10/29/21.      Status updated to case needs attention 
  • 10/29/21.      Interview at 1:15pn 12/01/21 Charleston SC
  • 11/01/21      interview descheduled
  • 11/02/21       interview rescheduled to 12/03/21 @8:45am Charleston
  • 12/03/21      I drove 3 hours for my interview only to be told my file wasn't there and I'd have to be rescheduled for another interview. they weren't sure if it would be possible before the holiday. He even said he wasn't sure why they didn't do both interviews that very day when i did removal of conditions interview.  
  • 01/07/22.     Interview rescheduled for 02/14/22 @1:30pm Charleston SC.
  • 02/14/22.      Passed my interview. Now await oath ceremony.
  • 11/02/22.      Letter mailed with oath ceremony date and time 
  • 11/08/22.      Received letter oath ceremony scheduled for 11/15/22 @9am Charleston 
  • 11/15/22.      Oath Ceremony in Charleston (finally a citizen of the USA 🇺🇸) 🥳🍾
