Updating, today I got a text saying my status changed. So i checked it.

It says "Case Was Sent to the Department of State"

"On December 9, 2016, we sent your case, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxx, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

So i guess they are sending it to the NVC now?

09/24 - Sent out I-130 to Phoenix, AZ

09/26 - Received at Phoenix (somewhere in between, the I-797 was mailed and marked back to sender due to post office error)

10/24 - Finally got the I-797 NOA-1 resent to me - forwarded my case to NSC

11/04 - Status changed to RFE

11/12 - Got the RFE letter in the mail (certified copy of marriage certificate)

11/18 - Mailed in RFE response

11/21 - RFE received at USCIS

11/21 - RFE status changed to response review

11/29 - Case approved at USCIS

12/03 - Received NOA-2 in the mail

12/09 - Case sent to NVC

12/15 - Case received by NVC

12/20 - NVC case number and IIN assigned

12/21 - DS-261 submitted online & gave email addresses

12/22 - Had NVC review DS-261 over the phone, paid AOS fee

12/24 - Paid IV fee

We just received our NOA 1 dated 11/25/16. We mailed our I-129F last November 22nd in addition to the I130. And lucky us also sent to Nebraska Center :clock:

2010 We moved to Argentina temporally for my wife to study abroad under 9 FAM 42.22 N1.10 Lawful Permanent Resident Students Studying Abroad

USCIS letter asking for data ----------------------------Apr - 2010
USCIS closed twice our case --------------------------Apr - 2010
Once my wife degree was complete we Filled for Returning Residence DS-117 under 9 FAM 42.22 N1.10 

At the embassy we were notify that the 9 FAM 42.22 N1.10  the rule had changed------------Nov - 2014 Our return was Denied
Filled for Expedite DS-117 in Peru --------------------Nov - 2014 Denied
In order to be able to go back as a family and fill for I-130 we had to abandon my wife's green card at the embassy.

FIlled I-407 Abandonment of Green Card ----------Aug - 2015 Aproved
Re starting the whole process to return to our home in USA

If I remember correctly, your entire packet was returned back to you due to missing signatures on the application. You then signed the application and resubmitted the packet and received the NOA1. This is not considered RFE. RFE is issued after the NOA1 and you receive an official RFE letter from USCIS without your original submission.

Hello everyone ☺ I'm a newbie here. Hubby filed an i-130 petition last sept. 12,2016 and got approved dec 1,2016. Would just like to ask as to how long will NVC contact us and be assigned a case number? Anyways, im from the philippines. Service center was nebraska. Hubby from California. Your help in providing knowledge will be very much appreciated ??? TIA

Hello everyone ☺ I'm a newbie here. Hubby filed an i-130 petition last sept. 12,2016 and got approved dec 1,2016. Would just like to ask as to how long will NVC contact us and be assigned a case number? Anyways, im from the philippines. Service center was nebraska. Hubby from California. Your help in providing knowledge will be very much appreciated ??? TIA

Welcome to the group and congratulations on your case approval. NVC will not contact you to inform you that they have assigned a case number. You will need to contact them to find out. Since it's been two weeks since you got approved, they may already have your case by now.
