September 2016 I-130 filers

This sounds like such a newbie thing, but I have no idea which documents to prepare first. I know there is an NVC thread but I was so lost when I went there. What should I do now? At this point, we are already approved at USCIS, just waiting on the NOA-2 in the mail (which I'm hoping comes in today).

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated (we plan on using my mom as a co-sponsor, if that helps).

Read the link and get started right away especially the ordering of tax returns from IRS for both you and your mom. Good luck!

Maybe someone has some information?

I am not sure if my answer is still relevant but the petitioner doesn't have to be at the interview. I saw many applicants there alone. The Frankfurt Consulate is quite easy and if you have everything in order and no red flags there is nothing to worry about.

Hi nyokie!

What kind of paperwork did your lawyer file on November 21? Did you get a RFE?

You won't be getting a case number unless the USCIS sends your case to the NVC, and USCIS won't send your case to NVC unless they approve your case and issue a NOA2 for you.
