Stay positive and be patient. It always slows down at the end of the year. Hopefully we start getting approvals from YSC soon. ✌✌

Hi everyone,

I know it is a bit late but I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I was abroad visiting my spouse! I was originally notified that my case was sent to NSC but called today and spoke to a tier 2 supervisor who indicated that my cases was transferred to Vermont service center, most likely because of how back logged NSC is. She also informed me that priority is given to USC which I am and I was already aware of this information. For anyone still waiting on their NOA2, it might be a good idea to call and check to see if your case was transferred because mine was and I never received a notification. I only obtained this information because I called USCIS. I have been checking the wait times for NSC when I should have been following Vermont. I hope this helps!

USCIS Phase

I called and mine wasn't transferred from Potomac. Guy on the phone wasn't very friendly either.

I'm assuming that you will get notified if your case got transferred like Trinbago got notified that their case was transferred.

Thanks for sharing Trinbago ... You will think that filling the " G "notification form would cut off all this surprises + alert you of any activity when application is scanned ... i guess not...

Am I correct in assuming that this is NOA2? And we will now just wait to receive the hard copy?

"On November 18, 2016, we approved your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number xxxxxxxxxxxxx. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Yes, you're application has been approved. You should receive the NOA2 hard copy in 1-2 weeks.

Sigh, sometimes I wish my spouse was from the Phiilippines.

Hello Everyone! Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

Just got an update today and we were approved! Guess we just wait for the NOA-2 in the mail. I'm pretty surprised actually since technically it only took 4 business days to decide on an RFE.

09/24 - Sent out I-130 to Phoenix, AZ

09/26 - Received at Phoenix (somewhere in between, the I-797 was mailed and marked back to sender due to post office error)

10/24 - Finally got the I-797 NOA-1 resent to me - forwarded my case to NSC

11/04 - Status changed to RFE

11/12 - Got the RFE letter in the mail (certified copy of marriage certificate)

11/18 - Mailed in RFE response

11/21 - RFE received at USCIS

11/21 - RFE status changed to response review

11/29 - Case approved at USCIS

12/03 - Received NOA-2 in the mail

12/09 - Case sent to NVC

12/15 - Case received by NVC

12/20 - NVC case number and IIN assigned

12/21 - DS-261 submitted online & gave email addresses

12/22 - Had NVC review DS-261 over the phone, paid AOS fee

12/24 - Paid IV fee

12/28 - Submitted DS-260

12/29 - Submitted packet to NVC via FedEx

01/03 - Packet delivered to NVC

01/04 - NVC scan date

03/02 - NVC Supervisor Review

03/16 - Case Complete at NVC

03/30 - Interview date confirmed over phone (and P4 email?)

03/30 - P4 letter received via email
