September 2016 I-130 filers

I learn something new…. Last week November 1, I check the process time and Noa1-Noa2 process date was at May 20,2016 now today which is 10 days later November 10 I check it again and now the process date change to June 2,2016.

I believe they is update the website every week but I can be wrong. I now seen the different.

Therefore they are working on June filers.

I will wait 10 days again and see if it change then I will know for sure which process website I can use for updates.

Check it out and do what I did write the today date and the date they are process then wait few days and check again.

NSC and it says Processing cases as of Apr 2.

TSC processing cases as of 5 months

YSC processing cases as of 5 months

VSC processing cases as of March 28th

Sorry I haven't been very active but it's been a bit busy. Fingers crossed for approvals and congrats to all at the NVC stage!

So I finally got the RFE in the mail today. It's asking for a photocopy marriage certificate, one issued by the local PSA (formerly NSO) office in the Philippines. Lame, because I sent them photocopies of the original certificate we were issued the day we got married (from the local city hall). Their argument is that it did not have a seal (it did, just raised or perforated seals do not show up on photocopies). Anyway, the reason I didn't send them an NSO/PSA copy to begin with is that the office claims you whave to wait 3 months after marriage to order a copy. So I just sent in the copy of the original one. Easy fix, just gotta order it in the Philippines and send it here. Anyway the deadline for me isn't until February 4.

Another interesting piece of information. After sending my I-130, I scheduled an appointment at my local Immigration office here in town. I spoke to a lady who used to work for the embassy in the Philippines. She asked me why I didn't just file the petition after marriage while I was still in the Philippines. I was like...??? I didn't really know you could. She says to me, "I worked there for a few years. And the process is so much faster, like 1 month, 2 month tops from the day you file." I was like, oh no, can I refile there? She said I just gotta wait the petition out since I had already filed it. Too bad.

Re: Marriage Certificate

I had my marriage certificate requested from NSO as well---the one from the local registrar doesn't count, as it is not an official document with the NSO seal on it. Luckily, ours was available after a little less than two months instead of the typical 3-month wait. The USCIS doesn't accept anything else other than the NSO certificate, sorry to say. Glad you have that sorted out now, though!

Re: Petition filing in the Philippines

That only works if you had been a foreign resident of the Philippines for at least a year. If you have, you could have gone through Direct Consular Filing. Otherwise, the process for you will be just like everybody else.

I have called 3 different times and each time it answers, I get the recorded message that all of their operators are busy - and then instead of putting me on hold with the music (per usual) it just hangs up on me!!!

I am curious if its just me or if something is going on with their system over there.

Don't give your hopes up yet!

I've been getting the same recorded message of the operators are busy on Monday the 14th and today the 15th starting at 830 EST. I kept calling 7 or 8 times randomly and right before I left my house today to go to work I finally got through around 1130 EST. Just to get the good news that they received our case but the case number has not been assigned yet. Operator said maybe next week (i.e., 2 weeks from receipt of case).

FYI - USCIS website said they sent our case on the November 3rd and NVC received it on November 9th.
