7-15-16: Married in Kansas

​7-17-16: He went home
9-21-16: Mailed I130 to Phoenix lockbox by regular mail

9-26-16: Received at Phoenix

​9-28-16: NOA1 Email and text received; case sent to Potomac Service Center

9-30-16: NOA1 Hardcopy received, priority date 9-26-16

So what do you all think (or maybe know from people who've already gone through this), which approval step is really the most important? Is it really going to be the interview; or is it like, if you steered right through the previous steps with no issues whatsoever, the interview is mostly a formality?

Even though every step is important and they verify that everything is legit and completed before processing the case, I believe that interview is the most important step. Even though most cases get approved at USCIS, I see many posts here about visa denials here after the interviews.

You will notice when you log-in to VJ main page about such cases.

Not trying to make anyone worried or concerned as everyone's case is different. If everything is legit, satisfying and complete, visa will be issued.

For those who are expert on NVC process, I started reading the Saylin's wiki and found out that at least 2 links are broken there. Link number 14 and 15. Has someone come across alternatives?

Link number 14 is broken as the DS-230 is no longer available and have been replaced by the DS-260. (similar as the DS-230, but requests for more info.)

You may or may not get the approval notification. Some people utilize a third-party app to check the case for them while other check manually on USCIS for their case status manually.

Total Participants: 32

Participants by Service Centers:

• Texas: 7
• Potomac: 6
• California: 2
• Nebraska: 16
• Unknown: 1

Average business days to receive NOA1 from the day packet was delivered to USCIS: 7 Days

Number of RFEs Issued: 2

Number of approvals: 6

Approvals by Service Centers:

• Texas: 5
• Potomac: 1

Texas Average days from NOA1 to NOA2: 27 Days

The sole Potomac case approved in: 56 Days

P.S.: The user azeemguy hasn't been active nor provided the basic information such as the service center, delivered date, notice received date, etc. If he / she doesn't provide the missing information, will remove the user assuming they don't want to participate.

I am not regular here because I applied as LPR and I know it will be extremely slow process for me. I am applying for my Citizenship next month and hopefully after getting citizenship I can move from slow track to fast track.

@onak plz add * to my profile name for now. So, as per available data only 2 cases were sent to CSC and they were for who applied as LPR.

I currently have the app but I was just curious if anyone who has already received an approval from USCIS has noticed any change on the app that their case was being processed or the only way they know is by actually receiving the notification whether by email, mail, or the app? Thanks!

Yea I got through in about 20 mins... You really have to fish for an answer, they said "It takes up to six weeks to get the application" so I asked if that was him saying that they do not have mine, and he repeated that. I had to explicitly state "Do you have my case or not?!"

the answer was no.
