On an average, it took 7 Business Days to receive the NOA in the mail from the time it's delivered to USCIS. The shortest that it took is 4 business days and the longest that it took is 11 business days.

My husband (USC) and I have been living in Japan for 4 years. We did a direct filing from abroad (didn't course through US relatives, etc) and used our foreign address in all the forms and documents.

Guys, has anyone received their hard copy NOA1 to their overseas address? Both me and my husband live in Georgia now, should I call USCIS and tell them to send our NOA1 to my husband's US address or will they send it here? I'm a little confused ..And also does NOA1 say anything important in the first place? :reading:

I think there havbe been times when people have received the notices outside of US too, but normally they don't send anything outside of US is what I've heard most of the time.. Anyway, we are also both not in the States and sent the packet to my husband's parents in California who then forwarded it to the Chicago Lockbox.. Now, on the forms we put our European (Estonian) address everywhere, but I included my husband's parents address on the bottom of the cover letter. We got our NOA1 e-mail shortly after they received our packet, but there was/is an issue with the NOA1 hard-copy as the USCIS website says that the receipt was returned to USCIS because the Post Office could not deliver it. I have no idea where they tried to send it. We did call USCIS about a week ago I think and told them to send it to the US address, but so far nothing ..

Yes, we've included our Georgian address in our forms as well. And I really don't think they will send it all the way here. Now, there is an option to change the address through the USCIS website, but I'm afraid if I write my husbands US address it will cause a problem , don't know what to do ..
