Based on the Case Tracker stats for Nebraska Service Center:

Cases received by USCIS around April 19th (NOA1):

  • 14 Approved
  • 6 Rejected
  • 17 RFE
  • 28 Pending

Cases received by USCIS around May 9th (NOA1):

  • 100 Approved (mostly approved September 20-29)
  • 1 Rejected
  • 35 RFE
  • 88 Pending

Seems like if we're lucky, it'll be 4 months or so :)

Maybe if we sacrifice onek's reporting skills, we can barter for an expedite on our case :clock::idea:

Soo, I have news!! Received an email last night finally! :dancing:

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number LIN**********. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

So yeah, it went to Nebraska .. I have a feeling it will take longer time for our case to be processed since it went there. Let me know if I'm mistaken :clock:

Great!!!, Congratulations. Now it's official and USCIS has started working on it. :dancing:

This is a draft version. Do NOT use it. The purpose of this is for those who have already been reading on NVC process to verify if the information listed is correct.

I basically took an 11 year old document and updated it with what I think is more accurate information. Please provide comments via Personal Messenger instead of turning this into a NVC forum.

Thanks for sharing. Where did you get this data from? Haven't seen such details before.

For expedited service, aidensbubba is the person to ask, but she wants free lunch & NVCC process help before she shares anything. :)

Omg, LOL!

but conversations and such.... really?

Thanks in advance!

Quick question guys.. on the VJ timeline, why is the NOA1 date supposed to be the notice date on the I-797C and not the date that you receive it? (A difference of 9/22 and 9/29 for me, for example). Seems odd to me?

06/03/2016 -- Married in Dakar, Senegal
09/20/2016 -- I-130 package sent via USPS Express to Chicago

09/21/2016 -- USPS delivery confirmation

09/23/2016 -- Email/text notification for I-130 acceptance; sent to Potomac

09/29/2016 -- Received NOA1 in the mail

03/16/2017 -- I-130 approved

03/23/2017 -- Received NOA2 in the mail

Thanks to MissHepburn, I found a pretty nifty app :D

Thought I'd share the below which was helpful for me in prepping for the NVC stage:

Cover Letters: The Welcome letter checklist if you have can go on very top of everything. Than you print the document cover page from the payment portal. If you didn't pay IV yet you can print the AOS twice. The ATTN changes for IV to DR.

  1. One stack is AOS - put your cover letter (if you made one) and the bar coded cover page to that put in its own envelope.
  2. One stack is IV - put your cover letter (if you made one) and the bar coded cover page to that put in its own envelope.

Both envelopes are now separated and now both put in one big envelope to be sent to NVC however you plan to mail it to them.

Required Documentation: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/529624-january-2015-i-130-filers/?p=7769458

Yes, you can definitely send the AOS/IV package before the IV invoice is available. Send as soon as possible.

We received the barcoded Document Cover Sheet (see attachment) with our NVC welcome letter, before we'd even paid AOS. If you don't receive the welcome letter (as many people don't seem to) then you will need to pay AOS and then you will be able to print a barcode sheet.

Edit: attachment was too big xJbceri.jpg

Nice work! :)

I used LIN690650000 which will result in the statuses for NOA1s around May 9, 2016.

Think I used LIN690700000 for May, can't remember.

Thanks to MissHepburn, I found a pretty nifty app :D

No need to do the bona fide paperwork twice... But you will need to send an original of your marriage certificate (and divorce docs, if applicable).

I'm about to post my "waiting for the NOA2 guide" should answer a lot of questions like this...

Whilst we are now waiting for nvc, what things should i gather as evidence in the meantime?

We have been married 11 years with 2 children one 9 and one 3, do we really have to prove anything at this point, i mean we have photo's etc of our life together

but conversations and such.... really?

Thanks in advance!

aidensbubba - someone married for such a long time will not need convos and such to prove an ongoing relationship - you have kids and likely a lot of joint financial assets/ties that will be very good/sufficient evidence.

Photos are always good though! I've read that case officers like to see them numerous times. Don't stress over this. :)
