I was wondering is there another forum for those of us going through the NVC process? Seems most who have been approved and are at the NVC process are not active here anymore. I mailed off the IV and AOS package yesterday...

just checked tye status online and it still says action re uired even though every single  document was delivered to NVC on 26th april 2017. Anybody have any idea how long they takes normally to uodate the status. Is it normal or no. Please reply

I believe that even if the documents were delivered the status wont change until they start to review the documents. Time frames seem to vary quite a bit...according to one VJ wiki It can take up to 60 calendar days to review packages. I'm in the same boat. Documents were delivered last week. See here:

My docs to send to NVC are being reviewed by my lawyer (supposedly) today and my DS-260 is filled out and ready to submit but she's reviewing that as well. I'm SO ANTSY! I want to send them now!! I paid the fees on the 7th of June and I feel like time is ticking away and they're being slow. I've been calling them every day and pushing so I'm really hoping the review is complete today and they're sent out tomorrow. I can't deal.

Hi everyone! It's been awhile since I've logged on here, but I just wanted to say hello and update everyone that we received my husband's physical (plastic) green card in the mail about 2 weeks ago. It looks very "official" and has lots of cool security features (like tiny silhouettes of all the US presidents on the back). 

 

I know lots of folks are still waiting at NVC or going through interviews...keep supporting each other, you got this!

I'm arriving in the US in two days. So glad for it all to be finally over. Looking forward to seeing my fancy green card soon.

Just wanted to update everyone here is where I started!.  My husband was approved for expedite processing due to my health.  In need of bi-lateral hip replacement.  As of last Friday NVC sent email notification that our case was being sent directly to US EMBASSY in JAMAICA and the Embassy will schedule his interview date once the documentation is received.   We had about 7 more weeks of waiting at NVC before the reviewed our case.  Praying he will be here by 1-2 week of August.  Don't give up and keep pushing forward.  Don't be afraid to make calls and ask questions.  

Will keep everything updated as we move forward

Most of April scan dates have received a Case Complete (CC) from the NVC.. Even a few May scan dates have CC's!! 

 

Have you had a chance to look at our spreadsheet? Open to all NVC scan dates in 2017 (mail, email, CEAC upload)

Hello, for those of you who are about to start the NVC process or already have.. Please make sure you bookmark the following. I've created this because 1/3rd of our cases that are represented on our spreadsheet have received a checklist (like a RFE but for the NVC). Hopefully if you read this, it will reduce the chances of any of you from receiving one. Receiving a checklist can delay your case for 11 weeks (current processing time quoted by the NVC)..  Good luck!!
