I just spoke to a NVC representative and he told me wait a day to make my payment of 120 right after i filled out my DS-261 form. He said the NVC states it will take 11 weeks to process everything after you send you package but it usually takes up to 60 days. They

can review in a day but the problem is there are so many requests to process which takes them this long. Just thought i'd share the information with you all.

And did the Texas service center go backwards?

I'm positive it was September 4 yesterday and now it's September 2.

This is making me sick now, what is going on with USCIS processing dept, not sure how long do we need to wait, my PD was Sept 26, 2016 and still waiting on Approval NOA-2

Me too. I'm so upset I can barely get any work done today.

It is getting ridiculous.

It was definitely September 4 before. Is it even possible for it to go backward in time?! Also, how is it that a resident applying is now at Oct. 2 and a citizen is Sept. 2?? I just arrived back to the US from visiting my husband and we've been waiting and waiting for the site to update and this is what we get?? I think I ugly cried for a good 30 minutes straight in my car at the airport park and ride. This is awful. What are they even doing?!

Has anyone tried calling to see if that's an error and it's supposed to be October 2?

Ok I called USCIS and asked them about the date. Here's what she told me. That sometimes they have technical errors with their website with the dates and  try to have it fixed within 2-3 hours. So, I asked her if she'd ever actually seen that happen where the updated date was prior to the previous date and she said no. SO there's hope. I asked her if it doesn't change then what? She said to call back to USCIS to see if they have any updated information from that department but as of now they don't have any info on why the date is earlier.

Good. I also wrote our lawyer to question it as well and this was their response.

Hi Ms. Johnson,

Sometimes the dates do retrogress, so this is normal. Our best bet would be to wait for them. Sometimes USCIS will give us a date online but they are really working ahead of that. They just use that so there's no pressure on them.

Thanks,

Elizabeth

Our update since NOA2:

  • April 4th - USCIS Sent the case to NVC
  • April 14th - We got two emails with welcome letters from NVC (one for each of us) and the instructions on what to do next.
  • April 18th - We paid AOS fee as it's the only one open for payment. Currently the payment under processing

What we did so far?

  • Downloaded I-864EZ along with the instructions. We want to be ready to submit the form once the option is available since for some reason we need to wait for the payment.. I guess.

Most of the documents required looks similar to what we submitted initially in the I-130. However, it's overwhelming and we're trying to understanding more. Is there a good reference that details the process for consular processing?

Regarding the USCIS processing times that have been fluctuating, it's possible that some service centers show some regression with the processing dates because a lot of cases were transferred from Nebraska to other service centers such as Texas in Feb/March. So, I guess there's some hope that older applications are now being processed and you should be hearing from them soon!!! ;)

Congratulations. The next step would be for NVC to schedule interview for your family at the embassy. Usually NVC would let you know once interview date in confirmed for your family. " You might need to be a lil patient " as interview are booked on first come, first serve basis meaning, it depends on how many people before you had a CC at the same embassy.

Good luck! You are almost at the end.

Does anyone happen to have their transfer notice handy? I just noticed that there are some discrepancies between my original receipt notice and the transfer notice. My original receipt notice says my receipt date is 9/23 and that my priority date is 9/23. The transfer notice says my receipt date is 9/27 and the priority date is completely blank. Anyone else notice any differences?
