Hope so.. Considering that some october filers are getting approved, we should be hearing something as a semptember filer. Its already feels like forever tho..

It has been forever. We paid for a lawyer thinking that would be the best route and that they'd help make sure all the paperwork was correct the first go round. They originally told it would be about 5 months and now we are quickly approaching 7. It's very disheartening. I know everyone is in the same boat, but it's hard for me not to be jealous seeing the timelines of others and how they were received the same day, transferred to Texas from Nebraska the same day and they have an answer and we don't. I'm happy for everyone who is on to the next step in the process. I know it's case by case, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating.

I know how you feel  and so sorry for you.I hope all of us get the approval this week and survive from Nebraska hell =( I'm happy for the others as well but kinda jealous at the same time. What does the lawyer say about this long wait? Any reasonable explanation or just the same things that we already know.

Just called NVC again and the agent told me my case number and invoice id. Now I'm trying to login but it keeps telling me the information doesn't match..? Also haven't received any welcoming emails yet.

I called the lawyer this morning and left a message. They should be calling me back sometime soon. I'm going to ask their opinion and if there's anything we can do. I'm sure I already know the answer but it makes me feel better to ask. I'll let you know what they say.

We are still waiting on NVC  to receive our documents.  Saw so many saying they got their case number so I called.  They said they have not received ours yet.  1 Month today since the notice date of 3-10 which is on the 1-797 but the emails say 3-14.  So we are nearing 6 weeks of waiting.

did you get an update on the website saying they sent it to the NVC?

No not originally.  I called and they told me that it was approved and would be sent to NVC.  Two days after calling everything was updated on the website saying they were sending our case to NVC. I have the 1-797 in hand that tells me they are sending to NVC now.  But originally I was told over the phone first

That happened to me too. Called a day later and found out they had given me the wrong case number but correct invoice number.

 

you should call them back tomorrow and confirm the numbers again.

Yup, I actually called back and this time they told me the right case number  So I've filled out DS 261 and now waiting on welcome email..Not sure, should I call them again and ask them to review my DS-261..?
