Hello everyone, i got my approval letter on March 21st but NVC still hasn't received my paperwork. I talked to the USCIS immigration officer and he said it could take upto 6 weeks. Has anyone heard back from the NVC that has my approval date?

Mine was approved 3/16, sent off to nvc 3/22, received by nvc 3/31 so took about a week.  Had to keep calling nvc daily to check .  They just assigned a case # yesterday though I still can't log in yet. 

 

Usually it takes a few weeks between uscis actually sending it and nvc actually opening it . I would say just keep on calling for now but I doubt it'll take 6 weeks. Seems like they extended "expected" processing times to cover their delays.

Thank you!! How did you know it was sent to the NVC? I keep calling USCIS and they can't give me an answer to if they've sent my case or not. All they said was it will take upto 6 weeks for NVC to receive my case

I had to:

• Called NVC - they said 6 weeks and i expressed my shock 
• Called USCIS immediately after - they couldn't confirm if NVC received anything so I mentioned that I had just spoken to NVC and simply needed to know when USCIS sent out my case to NVC for reference.  
• Once confirmed, started calling NVC daily the following weekday.

Calling NVC everyday asking if they received my petition or not  And every time they keep telling me that it can take up to 6 weeks for them to receive it from USCIS  It's going to be a week since USCIS supposedly shipped my petition to NVC so hopefully they will receive it either tomorrow or at least next week. I just don't see how it would take 6 weeks 

It's crazy how you think the process is taking soo long and feel like it will never end but then realize that your petition is already approved and sent to NVC ..To me it feels like we just recently sent our I-130 off  Time does fly... and now it feel like NVC will never receive it and it's still sooo much time till the interview and all that... meanwhile time flies...it really does, which is exciting and overwhelming at the same time.

Just get NVC case # & IIN from operator. It took 1 week when USCIS send my case.

Congrats!  I managed to submit my fee and get DS 261 reviewed on the same day i got my Case #/IIN so definitely call them once you submit the DS 261 to unlock AOS fee, to review your DS 261 (which will start the unlocking of IV fee).  This should save you a week or two since they usually take a week or two to review the DS 261 then another week or so to unlock IV Fee.

Does anyone here know ,if I should obtain police certificate from my country for both my maiden and married last name? Or can I just get the one for my current last name? Thanks

Well, after waiting 11 mins 32 seconds spoke with a Rep and all i was able to obtain was that my case has been received at NVC on April 1, not yet entered into the system.

 

Will take up to 2 weeks to enter into the system  Should I just call in again tomorrow?

Yay congrats!!  Keep calling.  Got my case and IIN #s only 3 business days after they received it (2 days if it weren't for them giving me the wrong Case # with the correct IIN #).  

 

Since you're doing Canada, you should fly through since you can do EP.  So jealous of you!
