Hi tianbian123.. No my husband live outside of the USA. The reason the case is transferred is to help with the workload. It does not have to do with where one lives. If your case was transferred be happy because Nebraska is extremely slow. I know about ppl with pd date of August and they still waiting for approvals. Good luck in your and everyone else process.

My case got transferred from Nebraska to Texas as well and I don't think it's made any difference. I am past the 6 month mark and people are having USCIS folks tell them that if your case was originally in Nebraska you are still on that timeline even if you got transferred. USCIS customer service reps are notoriously bad at giving accurate info so perhaps that's wrong. All that said, I've seen no benefit to being transferred thus far. It's been 6 months and 8 days and counting...

HI  Yari86, thank you for your response, the tier 2 officer told my husband because me  (the beneficiary) live in new york, that is why they transferred to new york city field office, on USCIC website new york filed office don't take 130 forms, and we asked the officer few time, do we need interview, he said there is no interview for 130, i did a little bit research, most of the people and lawyer said if the 130 transferred to local office that's they need to interview the petitioner. it has been 256 days, and it is so stressful and messed up my head

you mention that you are already living here. Are you only visiting ?  Are you filing I-130 concurrently with an adjustment of status and EAD? If so, that may be why your case was transferred to a local office.

if you are already living here without a visa (e.g., K1, work related visas, etc.) and have only filed a standalone I-130, this may be why your case is being delayed since standalone I-130s are intended for spouses residing abroad who hope to immigrate if I'm not mistaken.

can you provide us with more information about your case and background?

In that case your case was most likely transferred for other reasons due to additional reviews and other pending cases.  Normally they don't transfer to local offices for standalone i-130s.

I live in New York as well, case transferred to Texas in February and approved in march. I have a feeling they may be reviewing your other case files. Not really sure since I'm not exactly clear on what your other pending cases are. It seems per your profile timeline that you filed for adjustment in August of last year so if that stands, that could definitely factor into the delays since they weren't filed concurrently and were done in reverse.

Thank you so much, Jessie, sorry made mistake on my timeline, I only filed 130, my case is a little bit complicated, and I have a lawyer who doesn't care any about my case at all, my husband will try to call again this week, if nothing comes up, we will make info pass , we went once on March 4th, if still can't find out anything, I will find a professional  lawyer.

last week the tier 2 office told my husband that our case just normal case, no red flags, and he said we will hear something in 5 business days, I don't understand why he lie to us

thank you so much for sharing all the information, I really appreciate

I have been waiting patiently since my PD September 6, 2016. I was transferred to Texas from Nebraska on Feb. 7 and since then I have heard nothing. So many people are getting approved that have later dates. I am starting to wonder if they have lost my file. In 2 days it will make it 7 months. I thought it would have been quicker, since it is an i-130 for my stepchild. The kid is only 7 years old, whats taking them so long????

Funny you say that.  That's actually why i filed myself without a lawyer since they probably have hundreds of case files and I didn't want them to accidentally leave anything out.

Out of curiosity, how did you enter the US?  Was it on a tourist, work or other visa?  Have you overstayed any of the visas? If you don't mind me asking, what made your case complicated?  Maybe some of us in the forums can offer better methods of escalation if we better understand your situation.

Texas is currently processing September 4th applications so hopefully you'll see an approval soon.  If their processing times are updated to a date which exceeds September 6th, you can start escalation procedures:

Hello everyone! I would like to officially finish my September I-130 Filers timetable by adding the date I got my visa in the mail (updated above). Thank you so much to everyone who has been instrumental in providing information throughout the entire process. Thanks to misshepburn for leading this thread and for all the info she provided , and thanks to onek for religiously updating everyone's timetables.

To those who are still waiting for NOA2's, NVC approvals, and interview dates, I wish you all luck! Everyone will get there at some point. It's hard, but it will all be worth it in the end. Godspeed.

Just got off the phone with them and I got zero useful information, except (to crush my dreams further) he said that since it started in Nebraska that even though it had been transferred to Texas that I'm still on the timeline for the Nebraska information since that's the location of the original receipt . So if their site says August 9th, that's really my timeline and not September 4th like I thought. I might throw up. I hope he's wrong. He also said that it's still within standard processing time and to give it 45 days.

Try to be patient. I don't think that they're telling the truth about the timeline. Your petition will be reviewed based on on the case number. Since Texas has been approving petitions originating from their center past September, they'll be working on transfers first. My PD is 9/26 and I received an NOA2 without notice from the website or email.
