I am a RapidVisa customer. They have helped a ton with filing my petition. This is what they told me when i mentioned my case was approved:

For now, while waiting for the instruction from the National Visa Center, what you need to do is to prepare your Affidavit of Support which will be the form I-864 and all the Supporting Documents.  The NVC will also send you an email for the DS-261, agent selection  and an invoice for the Affidavit of Support and the Immigration Processing Fee.

Print the I-864 form (affidavit of support) and sign the page 9, item 6.a where it says Sponsor’s Signature and 6.b date of signature.

*What to mail for Affidavit of support:

1. The cover sheet provided through the Email of the NVC.
2. Your I-864 Affidavit of Support  Make sure to print, sign and date it.
3. Copy of your MOST RECENT TAX RETURN WHICH IS 2016. You can also include copies of your 2014 and 2015 TAX RETURN if you want.
4. 5-6 of your MOST RECENT PAY STUBS
5. COPY OF YOUR W2's for each year.
6. Letter from your Employer (stating your position held, salary rate, if permanent or temporary)
7. You can also include copies of your bank account statements (esp if you are self-employed)

*What to mail for the Immigrant Visa.  Just send copies of the following documents applicable to the beneficiary.

1. Alien's Birth Certificate
2. Court and Prison Records, if any
3. Deportation Documentation, if any
4. Marriage Certificate
5. Divorce Decree of your wife, if any
6. Military Records, if any
7. Photocopy of Valid Passport Biographic Data Page of Alien Spouse
8. Police Certificate for all applicants 16 years old or older
9. Adoption Documentation if any

You can send in one envelope all of your documents for the Affidavit of support and Immigrant Visa application.  The address on where to send it will be included in the Instruction that the NVC will send you.

Hi Guys. I was approved on the 3rd and ok the 14 it was sent to NVC. I have not received a Welcome Letter or Anything so I'm getting worried.

According to some forum posts here, they send the petitions out in batches. So yours may have not actually been mailed on the 14th. Mine was updated 3/28 saying it was sent to the NVC, approved on 3/18.

At the NVC they ask us to wait 6 weeks, but the man I spoke with on Monday asked me to call back in another week or two. I'll be calling again next Monday, then again in a couple more days since it'll be 2 weeks since approval.

Someone else mentioned calling once a week for 2 weeks, then increasing your calls to 2-3 times per week, 3 weeks after your approval.

I believe this would be correct.  If she is your sister and you both live together at the same address and same residence, she would be considered a "household relative" which the I-864A is based on.  The form I-864A must be filed together with the I-864.  Have you read the instructions for form I-864A on the USCIS website?  If not already, you should do so.  It explains further details and qualifications for filing.  Regardless, I think you are on the right track.

This IS correct. If you live in the same household (same address) as one of your relative's and they are going to be a co-sponsor - they need to fill the I-864A and the petitioner will fill the I-864.

I just got off the phone with NVC, they say it will take 6 weeks for the NVC to receive a case.  This seems crazy!  Anyone had their case received before them?

@branjo -- based off of people on VJ, it takes anywhere from a few days after you get the NOA2 to a few weeks for your USCIS service center to physically mail your package to the NVC. I would wait a week or 2 after you get the NOA2 and then call NVC weekly to see if they have received the case. It took mine like 3 weeks to get delivered. Other people have had theirs transferred much faster. It's not scientific (like most of USCIS processes!)

I just woke up and checked my phone to see if my wife had called Nebraska. She'd been trying to get hold of me since we've been approved. WOO HOO. She received a text and an email.

Happy for you!  I'm sure you are relieved.  You have been venting on here and I guess it finally paid off!!  Lol.  Anyways, congratulations!!!:D
