1. Your application required additional security checks, which will slow down your application.

4. The length of your marriage; more recent marriages are given slightly more scrutiny.

These are only some of the reasons why you might have been "skipped" over.

Case was approved!!!!! Just received a text msg!! My case was actually approved on the 24th.

I called the regular line and once and hung up after being on hold for 45 minutes.  I have called the military help line twice and both times the calls were answered immediately.

We were approved on March 20th!  Who knew?!  Not us!  No notification via the website or email.  I contacted our local USCIS office.

I just got off the phone with NVC, they say it will take 6 weeks for the NVC to receive a case.  This seems crazy!  Anyone had their case received before them?

don't worry about that part, the best thing is you get approved and that all matter, try to get everything together for the next step,

I believe this would be correct.  If she is your sister and you both live together at the same address and same residence, she would be considered a "household relative" which the I-864A is based on.  The form I-864A must be filed together with the I-864.  Have you read the instructions for form I-864A on the USCIS website?  If not already, you should do so.  It explains further details and qualifications for filing.  Regardless, I think you are on the right track.

You are required to send at least last years tax return/tax transcript, along with 4-6 pay-stubs from this year, a few w2's, and a letter of employment stating; your position, salary, if your a permanent employee, etc. This is what Rapid Visa told me.

The man I spoke with at the NVC said they ask for you to wait 6 weeks, but he said to call back in one or two weeks.
