Hi there,  I'm from the October filers board.

I have a question for anyone who was transferred from Nebraska to Texas SC.... did the phone system say texas service center?

I'm confused because i got the letter saying we were transferred to Texas, but the phone system says we were transferred to Nebraska (which is where we started! Any insights?

(The phone rep didn't know, I have a tier 2 callback scheduled but not for 3 to 5 days....)

I'm experiencing the same thing and I have yet to be given a straight answer on this. The most that they've told me is that "the computer system messes up sometimes". Gee thanks, makes me wonderful about them handling sensitive information.

Hello Everyone,

I am happy to announce that I was FINALLY approved today. For everyone who says that their case was assigned to a specific service center but the USCIS automated case status when you call says Nebraska, do not be alarmed. This was happening to me and no one could explain it until today. Basically their system is flawed and they are trying to improve it. The tier 2 supervisor I spoke to today informed me that it can sometimes take up to 30-45 days for any updates made to a case to actually reflect correctly on the basic system (go figure....).

Although I was approved on 3/24 I have not received any notifications up until this point. The only way I knew I was approved was by calling, speaking to a tier 2 supervisor, and then refreshing the app which confirmed that I was approved on 3/24. I am now waiting on the hard copy in the mail. I know how stressful and upsetting this process can be but, for everyone who is still waiting on an approval, please know that approvals are increasing and I hope that everyone is approved soon. Hang in there!

Thank you!! :)

You are so welcome.

Your approval sent me looking at my status, gave me little hope seeing that they finally started looking at my case since they transferred it to Potomac last month.

My husband had requested an expedite which they said would be approved by the 29th, fingers crossed

You are so welcome.

Your approval sent me looking at my status, gave me little hope seeing that they finally started looking at my case since they transferred it to Potomac last month.

My husband had requested an expedite which they said would be approved by the 29th, fingers crossed

I am sure that you will receive an approval notice soon since Potomac is starting to approve quite a few cases and your PD is even earlier than mine. The supervisor I spoke to today said they are rushing to get out as many approval as possible since most service centers are backlogged. I was visiting my husband last Friday and was disappointed that our case still wasn't approved and just think that it was approved this whole time and I had no idea. I hope that this is the case for you as well. By the way I checked the status on the app several times a day and everyday and it only showed the approved status today when it was approved 4 days ago so I am hopeful that is the same case for you.

PD: 9/21

SC: Nebraska

Transferred to Potomac: 2/16

Approved: 3/24

Thank you soooo much, you saved all of us "transfers" from October a lot of anxiety!!!
