201 days today:(

By the look of the number of pending petitions before me I'm thinking another month or two wait at least.  I'm hoping that just a lot haven't had their status updated on the app/on-line.  Disheartening when those with a PD after mine are getting approved because they have been transferred.  Totally happy for them but how is it fair that later dates are getting priority and approved before those in late August and early September? I've never felt so out of control of my own life like I do now.  I know they won't, but it would be nice if Nebraska could at least release some kind of statement with the honest truth about what they're up to and why there has all of a sudden been so many delays.  Everything seemed fine until they got up to August petitions and according to the USCIS website they started processing them in December so it's been almost 4 months they've been working on them with little movement.

I agree my attorney said to wait 4-6 weeks. My PD is Sept 13 :(

AND WE GOT APPROVED!!!!

Finally! Oh my God, the wait was so stressful!

We got a letter in the mailbox. No update on the online system (no email, text message ..etc.). Our NOA2 date is 03-21-2017 (NOA2 received 03-27-2017) (PD 09-06-2016 Nebraska transferred to Texas Service Center on Feb 7th)

We saw useful tips about the NVC phase while waiting for the approval. But, now that it's real, we're a bit confused.

Where do you think is the right starting point for us to prepare for NVC?

Any information on when to contact NVC and the expectations?

I hope everyone still waiting gets a good news soon!

The co-sponsor can be retired, but they have to prove a sustained income (like from a pension or social security, or interest from investments).

Both your husband and the joint sponsor will fill out I-864's. If your father in-law is going to be the joint sponsor and he files taxes jointly with his wife, your mother in law will also need to fill out an I-864A -- mostly to show that she is aware of the decision to joint sponsor you.

You can PM me if you have more specific questions.

As i know,if your husband and and the join sponsor(parents, siblings) live at the same address, then the main sponsor(petitioner) filed i864,and the i864a for join sponsor.

So disappointing.  Fingers crossed ours end up on someone's desk pretty soon.  It seems to be luck of the draw at the moment so we just need a bit of luck.  C'mon Universe - we deserve it:)

Congrats!!! I went through exactly what you're going through with the confusion so I made a list. Check the nvc process link in my signature. Timelines are approximate and it's geared towards my situation but hope it helps provide some clarity!

im waiting for the seventh day mark from 3/22 which is when uscis stated they mailed my file out ...then I start spam calling nvc.

Call uscis to confirm when your file was sent out and count seven days. Good luck!

So I felt the same way, it seems that if you were transferred from Nebraska you were lucky.  I have a PD of 26 Sept.  I called USCIS today, for those of you in the military, they have a special number that we can call and it made a big difference.  I was connected immediately.  I was first told that it was still in process so I responded that I was told that if it was longer than 6 months there was a problem and I should call to find out what it is.  She put me on hold for about 5 minutes when she came back she told me that my packet was still in Nebraska and that they were currently working on packets from the 9th of August.  It was going to be another 3-4 weeks.  If I do not hear anything after 5 weeks to call back.  She said there was a lot of issues with weather and were behind quite a bit.

Not the information I wanted to hear but at least it was information.

Ugh got a RFE email today have to wait the letter by mail. I wonder what evidence they request. Can someone who have gotten an RFE  comment what they requested.please

Hi @Maritza rmz, I got an RFE before too. It was for our marriage certificate. I had turned in a copy of the original. They wanted a copy of the government's copy of the original. Hahaha if that makes sense it's the "official government copy" by the NSO/PSA authority in the Philippines.

Anyway, this is a good sign that they have looked at your file. When we got an RFE, it took 2 business days after they had received the evidence to be approved.

Yeah, so just wait for your letter because it can be anything it can also be multiple things. You can't know unless you have the letter.

09/24 - Sent out I-130 to Phoenix, AZ

09/26 - Received at Phoenix (somewhere in between, the I-797 was mailed and marked back to sender due to post office error)
