Thanks JessiesABC. Do you have any idea or anyone else that after receiving apprival letter from USCIS how long USCIS takes to send file to NVC and how long NVC takes?

a week or more. Take a look at the NVC process document in my signature for approximate timelines and details.  Start calling a week after the approval date.

 

From the forums, looks like NVC process can take about 3-6 months right now.  People who have already paid the fees and sent in their documents in December/January are still waiting for a Case Complete. This past Monday, they even changed their document review duration from 8 weeks to 11 weeks (the step to review your AOS and IV documentation).

Is the 3-6 month wait for electronic processing also? Or just paper?

Paper.  Not sure about e-processing but I think if you're e-filing, it'll be a lot faster.  

You can filter the visajourney list provided in the previous post by Canada/Australia/etc. to see if their cases went a lot faster since most likely they e-filed.

OMG you have no idea how good this has made me feel reading this. Now I'm almost going on 7 months waiting for my petition, if I can get through the NVC stage much faster with EP it would be amazing.

Is it just me or does it seem like there has been barely any movement this week. I've seen a handful of September approvals, but mostly for those that were transferred from Nebraska to Texas. I'm happy for them but so annoyed that those at Nebraska with an earlier PD are still waiting. Surely in April we'll have to have an answer. Especially considering most early dates in September have been transferred out.

When you say checklist what exactly does that mean?  I assume everyone gets one?

My case just got approved from the potomac service center. My PD was 09/30/2016. I recieved the letter in the mail  and nothing was updated on the USCIS app nor did I receive and email or txt. My approval date was 03/21. On the letter my last name was spelled wrong. I hope that doesn't make a difference or should i call to have them fix it?
