Case sent to department of state!!! Pd 9/26 and transferred to Texas from Nebraska on 2/15.  Don't give up hope!!! I have a feeling they're speeding through since the 6 month threshold is looming.

 

question: is there a difference between getting sent to the department of state versus getting sent to the national visa center?  Little bit scared that it might have been sent to the wrong place for post decision processing.

 

working on a checklist and process flow for Nvc stage since someone asked and will share it when done :)

I don't think there is a difference between the Dept of State and NVC - I'm sure I read somewhere they are the same thing but I could be wrong.

Did you request for a name update?  if not, it might either be an officer opening up your case files which could lead to approvals in a few weeks or it could indicate a potential RFE based on what I've seen in other forums.  Don't panic and wait for additional clarification from USCIS.  Good news is they're looking at your case.

Just found out (by emailing our regional USCIS office in South Africa) that our case was transferred to Potomac.  

PD: September 19th

 

Anyone from Potomac transfer group been approved yet?

Application sent to Nebraska Service Center
