I hear you... remember that these people are literally paid almost minimum wage -- around $10 per hour. This is similar to McDonald's-type pay here in the US (for those who are living outside US) -- and they aren't all going to be well-trained or professional (which is unfortunate). I'm not trying to make excuses, I'm just trying to help folks understand.

 

In my experience calling USCIS and NVC, there were a few times I got an unhelpful/rude rep or a rep that was giving me incorrect information. In those instances, stay polite, stay calm, hang up and call back. Some of the reps are really amazing... its the luck of the draw!

@Frustrated74 This is interesting. What state are you in again? (I'm curious). I have read relatively recent (past couple weeks) examples on VJ of Congress actually being able to help people. I'm getting the sense that perhaps some members are more helpful than others...

It was Texas. We didn't go to Ted Cruz but the other guy. Unfortunately they're still both right wing republicans so wasn't too hopeful being a gay couple.

Is anyone here with PD 27th of September who got transferred from Nebraska? I'm pretty concerned about the fact that , you can't even fully rely on the case tracking apps or the website to get your updated info on time. I might be updating my app 1929347 times a day everyday but still missing some major news on my case  We kept calling USCIS hoping we would get a remotely helpful and knowledgable rep but no progress. In fact, every single one of them had different things to say, some of them kept telling me my case is being processed in Nebraska lol, while I kept repeating that it's been transferred from it on 23d of Feb. ... ugh  I'm so frustrated. Now we are thinking about buying another skype number again and try scheduling a callback from one of their immigration agents. Last two times we did it - zero luck, they were useless. Maybe this time we will get more lucky

The app changed again

 

On March 15, 2017, the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number LIN*********, because they could not deliver it. 

My husband fill out the form and he got an email saying they thank you for your request USCIS will review and processes the request. Expect a reply by April 7,2016

Then I check my USCIS acct and it said as march 16,2016 your injuiry about an approval notice that you didn't receive, referral number is SR1*********,is currently not assisted for processing 

Pd September 16,2016 transferred February 9,2016

 

we wil have an update on USCIS next week Wednesday and I pray God that be approved on that day.

My PD was September 26th and I was also transferred from Nebraska (to Texas).  I'm just waiting patiently while prepping my AOS/IV packet and all the DS260 questions.

I would suggest using voip.  You can use Google hangouts to dial any state or Canada for free as long as you have internet access.

My main thing is that to be able to have them call us back. Do any of those apps give that option?

I know how you feel.  Our PD date is Sept 19, was transferred to unknown location on Feb 9th.  Still nothing.  We called and they just told us what we already know.

Our PD's are a week away from each other and mine is 10/04/16. We also were transferred out of Nebraska to Texas on Feb 22. The website says Texas received our case on Feb 24. The reason was to 'speed up processing'; which I hope is true. Other VJ member cases that were transferred earlier than us were approved 4-6 weeks after the transfer and at the moment it's only been 3 weeks for us. So quite possibly we may hear back in April? I know it's disappointing. We wanted our son to arrive before the school year starts, but with this delay I doubt it. We'll most likely enroll him in school back home and have him transfer after the interview and received his visa stamp .... Best of luck to you and will keep posted on any progress.

We are on the same boat! Mine was transferred to Potomac on the 9th.  I heard a few people from PD sept 16th have been approved at Potomac!!! Fingers crossed!!!

My PD is Sept 26. My petition was xfered on Feb 15 from Nebraska to Texas. No notice yet. I hope to see one soon!

Thank you all for sharing! It helps with the waiting a lot... I really think that we all should hear something by the end of this month! I'm on my fourth week since the transfer and hoping to hear something maybe in a week or so... fingers crossed!

I used Google Hangouts for work when I visit my husband in England so you can definitely call US numbers for free.  

Only thing I've noticed is that I only receive incoming calls on my ipad but not on my computer or phone.
