omg. so we are trying to call USCIS at the moment and one person just told us that our case is still in Nebraska lol. Which is very funny because it clearly says on the website that my case got transferred to another service center on February 23!!!

We keep calling hoping that we will be lucky enough to get someone who actually knows what they are talking about !

So my wife just got a call back from the tier 2 supervisor. Absolutely no luck with them. He said Nebraska is still up to 9 August so she asked why they hadn't done anything in 6 weeks. Refused to give any information. Said the petition was sent to Nebraska for 'thorough processing' which also isn't true because it was sent there to begin with. He said it could take up to 12 months. He didn't want to give his name. When he did, he refused to spell it for her.  Basically told her to call the ombudsman and then said he couldn't talk to her anymore. When she questioned that he could only tell her what was on the website, he said no, he could see the notes. The notes were it was sent to Nebraska!!!! GRRRRRR

thats exactly what happened to us to! they barely wanted to talk to us :angry::angry:

Any time I ask to be transferred up to a supervisor, I get immediately met with hostility. It's absolutely ridiculous. Its less like a customer service department and more like a customer diversion department.

Very true.I just spoke to a supervisor for 30 minutes with no luck at all. Kept asking same questions over and over again and no progress on answers whatsoever. They dont listen....

No luck with the Congressman.  We received a letter back saying that due to the tremendous number of applications there is a delay in processing and we will be advised when our petition is current.  They gave the August 9 date for Nebraska and said there are no provisions under the law to modify or change legal requirements to benefit a particular case.  So basically, nothing anyone can do:(

Hey guys I'min no way trying to sound like a know it all here because I've been there in tears not getting an answer but a lot does have to do with whom you are talking to and also don't be mean but don't be too meek either the first guy told me they are just going to tell you what I've already told you.  I told them I knew my rights and I was past the 6 months and I wanted to speak with a supervisor so he kinda backed down and said that's fine I will have to transfer you.  I'm just saying I probably just got lucky yesterday but know they aren't doing us a favor it's our right to know and we paid our money for the case to be processed.  The fee is for thme processing the case

I'm sure it does make a difference who you get, a bit like what SC you get too!  My wife is a lawyer and is used to speaking to judges and was very calm and not rude at all to the person she spoke to.  Same with the original person she got who was also very aggressive and hostile.  I think they just don't like it when you call them up on things and they don't have an answer for you.  Like when she was told our petition was sent to Nebraska for 'thorough processing' and she asked what that meant since there was nothing like criminal records in our file.  He didn't have an answer and got more defensive.  Just be honest and say you aren't up to it yet! How hard is that?  The only thing we could think of is they might take longer because it's a same sex petition but from the looks of it there are barely any September petitions that have been approved so probably not.  Except the Pilipino ones who seem to get processed within a couple of months (not sure what that is but anyway).

We called yesterday too. Nothing new besides what we have already known. The person who answered the call, said that probably we had to wait another one month and a half to get an answer. It's too slow.

Sep 18th, transferred on Feb 16 to Potomac. But I don't think it is authenic since he also said it's based on NSC processing time. So... But it makes easier to wait another month...

That is a total crock the transfer website tells you this....

*** If you do not receive a decision on your case within the published processing time for the new service center, you may submit an inquiry online or call the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 800-375-5283 (TYY 800-767-1833). When asking about your case status, please provide us with your receipt number and specify that your case was transferred to a new location.

so how are they just flat out lying about stuff??

Because they get away with it.  There is zero accountability.  Even if you haven't been transferred, it's almost impossible to be considered outside the normal processing time since they change it all the time.  I've tried to submit an inquiry on-line numerous times but they will never let it go through.  Since the website gets updated almost 2 months late you have to wait all that additional time before they let you inquire.  There has to be a better way!!

Thanks for your advice. I think yesterday or a bit earlier one vj user got approved after transferred to potomac, which is the reason we decided to call. It has been many days that the processing time remains the same, so yeah, nothing else to do. back to work and keep patient. and pray all will come soon.
