I got a letter telling me that my case was transferred from Nebraska to Texas.  I am out of range since my PD was Sept. 1st.  I called USCIS today and they told me that it is showing that my case was transferred to Texas but it is still saying that it is in Nebraska.  When I called she said she needed to send me to a Supervisor, but they were to busy to do so at that time so I need to call back in the morning.  Is there anything else I can do on top of calling back.  To me it sounds like my case has been missed placed.

@krysten.danis I'm so sorry this is happening to you! It's unlikely that your case is *lost* there have been cases of others that have been transferred but for some reason the system is slow to update. When did you contact your congressman? You need to call them as well to follow up...my recommendation is calling their local office first, then DC. You can also contact the DHS ombudsman (https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance) but they might not be as fast as congress. 

 

ALSO....people in this group have reported that USCIS has told them that once their case was transferred that it would be adjudicated within 60 days. I don't know if that is just something the operators are making up, or if its policy/based on reality, but its something to be aware of.

 

If I were you --- I would 1) Call your congressman tomorrow. Make sure you speak to a person. 2) Call USCIS and ask for a Tier 2 supervisor immediately. 3) Check out the DHS ombudsman option

Not to intrude on your month, (I'm an October filer), but I have information that my group can't seem to answer. 

 

I recieved a notice that my case was transferred to my local office. What does this mean and is it a decision? 

 

Help! Sorry to hear that there's no movement for some of you. Praying for all!

I think they are transferring applications to other offices at the moment.  I'm not 100% sure what 'local office' means but sounds like it's been moved.  I'm pretty sure it's not a decision, there's just such a backlog they're having to transfer files.

On another topic, the medical you have after your approval, does anyone know much about the vaccinations required.  I don't have any records of my infant vaccinations and haven't really had any as an adult.  I know it probably does depend on where you come from as to what they want you to have.  I've never had the flu so don't get the flu shot.  I'm hoping when I get to that stage they aren't going to want to jab me with all sorts of things.  My body will go into shock!
