Hello Everyone, Just wanna let you know my case got approved today. I have applied as LPR and my case was at CSC. It took 6 months and 5 days. 

Now, I am waiting for my Naturalization process to move forward. So, I can change the status of my case at NVC. Another wait started....

 

Best of luck to everyone else who is still waiting. I wish you guys get approved really soon and be with your spouses/or love ones.

Pathera, Can you please tell me your priority date? Mine was sept 12th yet haven't received any update. Mine is also at CSC also. Just trying to get sense at which day (sept) are they currently processing.

My PD is 22nd Sep 2016. I sent an upgrade letter to upgrade from F2A to IR1/CR1 for my I130 petition on 7th Mar 2017. How do I know the current status of my upgrade? Also california service centre is processing IR1/CR1 of 16th Oct 2016.

You can't contact them until you have officially gone over the "normal" processing time which is 6 months. If you try before that, they likely will tell you to continue to wait. However, that doesn't mean that you can't prepare a letter ahead of time and send it immediately after you hit 6 months. I'd also recommend a follow up phone call with the congressman/senator's office for the same day/week.

1) Am i supposed to get 'polizeiliches führungszeugnis' from kundenzentrum ?

2) Is it possible to get that certificate in English ? If not where can i get it translated?

3) I am planning to get PCC from Indian consulate, Hamburg and German PCC. Will that be enough?

@vbjohn nice!! I'm actually the American.... my husband is the German  

 

I will do my best with your questions!

 

1) My husband requested his police certificate from his local courthouse - the "polizeiliches führungszeugnis" certificate is the one you want. It came via mail about a week later from the Ministry of Justice.

 

2) The certificate will come in German. There is no English option. You can translate it yourself, or if your German isn't strong you can ask someone else to do it. You need the translator to write a separate statement attesting to their fluency in German, sign and date it.

 

3) The rules state you need a police cert from each place you've lived for more than a year since you were 16. So if that is just India and Germany for you, you are ok!  You only need 1 from Germany. ALSO... if you've ever lived in the US before (for more than 1 year) you don't need any police certificates from them.

"All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which you are applying for a visa, must be accompanied by certified translations. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that:

• The translation is accurate, and
• The translator is competent to translate."
