spoke with a customer service representative today was told that any applications that were transferred from the nebraska service center to potomac. have to go by the nebraska processing time. And that it could take another 2 months for approvals. -_-

Thats what I said to the rep. and he said that for any transfers they are going based on their original service center processing time. And I called 2 times after that and was told the same thing.  its so discouraging to hear especially when you see later pds being approved.

If so be the case that we still working with Nebraska processing time, which was basically what they told my husband today, i'll follow

Maitte28,

Mine was sent to CSC, i called the 1 800 375 5283 and asked customer service representative to upgrade the I-130. She raised ticket and i was told that within two weeks USCIS will contact me via e-mail or in letter. So i got the response for my wife's case via e-mail but my daughter's is yet to receive.

As of today's update CSC is processing oct 15th cases for immediate relative of USC. Mine was sent in Sept so i am assuming as soon as the upgrade is complete they will approve I-130 for both of my cases.

You sent two requests (one for your wife and one for your daughter) I-130 or one ??????

Maitte28,

I had submitted two I-130 in sept, one for wife and another for daughter at the same day. Also i submitted upgrade  request for both applications same day with same immigration officer. USCIS asked to fax naturalization certificate for wife's application but i am yet to get the request for daughter's application. Very frustrating.

When are you going to be naturalized? Call them same day you naturalize and ask them to open case to upgrade I-130 from LPR to USC immediate relative.

Do you have same situation as mine?

Wow they didn't do much work at all.... I saw someone post some where saying they wish they didn't moved from Nebraska. Just because they saw some people case get approved they want to go back there.

now I wonder how they feel after seen Nebraska updated.

Too funny!  I'm pretty sure that was me that posted that while ago.  Lol.  So, how am I feeling now?  Not really sure, I guess the same!  I don't even know what to believe anymore.  Constant date changes, USCIS giving verbal times that don't match up with whats online, and the list goes on.  Very sketchy.

I will say this, I am going to go with my gut instinct here, which is to believe that many September filers no matter where they are serviced at, will be getting approved this month or early April.

If I have the same situation. But my husband only sent a request for both.
In December began his naturalization process now just waiting for the interview.

Then I have to send a 130 for my daughter and another for the daughter of the ?????
Another question my daughter is not my husband's daughter. But he has a daughter.
Someone told me that if they are the naturalized's own children you do not need to send 130 just that you have to go with your birth certificate and apply for your passport ... have you heard this ????

Maitte28,

Did your husband submit separate I-130 for each individual intended to immigrate to US before applying for naturalization (i.e according to you Dec 2016)? if not he has to send I-130 for those who are intended to immigrate with you if you want them to immigrate sooner.  There is no derivative relative under USC provision.

One of the other children you said isn't your husband's child. Is this child step-child?

This is as of today.  I was transferred from Nebraska to Texas.  It is scary to see that they are on September 4th, which means it is past my PD date.  I guess I will be calling tomorrow.  This is stressing me out majorly.  I do not like it.  I hope they did not lose my package during the transfer.  Any other suggestions.

I don't think they lost your package. But you should call them tomorrow. And find out what's going on. I was also transferred from Nebraska to Texas Service Center on February 7, 2016. And my priority date on the receipt notice i got at first was September 1st, 2016. But on the transfer notice it says the receipt date is September 6, 2016. Was your priority date on your receipt notice different from the one on your transfer notice?

Don't stress out too much, get proactive. The standard VJ advice for when you're past your PD --

  1. File an e-Inquiry (link here).
  2. Call and request a Tier-2 supervisor. Ask about the status of your case and inform them you're officially out of "normal processing" deadline.
  3. Begin to look into contacting your senators or congresspeople. They can also inquire on your behalf and see what might be happening.

One word of caution, when your application gets transferred the typical deadline listed on the website may not apply. They will typically ask you to wait some fixed amount of time (30 or 60 days) after getting transferred.

Thank you for that insight.  My PD date did change on my Notice of Transfer.  Well maybe we will hear something in a few days then since we have a New PD date.  Thank you again.  I think I am still going to call and check as well to see what is going on.

Thanks again.

Question when i just got transferred they told my husband an approval would be within 60 days...

Being i'm no longer at Nebraska i was told that the processing time would now be based on Potomac an Nebraska, is that true?
