I am sorry, Elenie and rahill, for making you panic. But I believe people here have the power to not let things get to them. This is only "alarmist" if you let it alarm you. Hopefully others will take this information the way I stated it----that it is pending approval and just a heads-up so they can make contingency plans should this dreaded thing push through. I personally sure would appreciate anyone who will give me a heads-up regarding major things like this. If it pushes through, at least I am partially ready----if not, I sure appreciate the effort in being warned and being given time to prepare.

I googled it and found the article in the website of Hammond Law group (known immigration law firm in the US.

Let us just pray that this will not push through. I am from the Philippines but not in the southern part though. If ever, this might still affect the whole country. I am honestly freaking out right now. It's getting frustrating day by day.

Whatever you believe about people's power to not let things get to them...I think we should be careful to post accurate verified information.  I'm not panicking. I'm just as stressed out as everyone else on this thread waiting for a spouse indefinitely. Just take care to publish verified info w/ sources. Thanks for the link to the Hammond Group alert.

Indeed. If it goes through there will be legal challenges just like there are to the existing EO. I'm actually going to unsubscribe because I don't find it helpful to get notifications from this list while I'm waiting indefinitely as our case sits in the black hole that is the Nevada Service Center. Sending my best to all and my thoughts and prayers are with all those families who will not be reunited due to this president's immoral, unconstitutional EO. Peace!

I see Nebraska getting to early August priority dates. Our case is at early September. But I'm worried what action they're going to take when they reach my PD.

 

Holding a Yemeni passport, I already can't fly to my wife. But, what does that mean down the road? We're completely lost here. She called USCIS for a status update and to know what action will be taken. Will the case be rejected automatically? They told her to contact the US embassy in Saudi since I'm a resident of Saudi Arabia (and was born in Saudi Arabia, too). Due to the time difference, she couldn't reach the US embassy this week.

 

This situation is very concerning. I started worrying about our safety.

I have honestly not seen any further information on adding countries to the ban beyond the Hammond Law Group, who did not cite any sources beyond their own website.   I would honestly take it with a grain of salt and chalk it up to fear mongering, since they are a for-profit immigration lawyer company.    

 

Proceed with your lives as normal, do not live in fear, and enjoy your time spent with your loved ones.   Continue with filing, and take a deep breath!  

 

 

 

 

Also, past 6 weeks at NVC, and all they said were "Wrote notes on your account saying you are over the 6 week line..." I am assuming they are probably backed up with these current issues, so I am trying not to pester.

Yes it is true, finally after almost 11 weeks at nvc hell we got case complete!!!! Am so excited I can't sleep
