I have a deadline to send in my medical (which they asked me to do it again even though they have it on file from K1) on Sept 15 but I will not be back in America until Sept 17. I will not likely get it done and send it to them until Sept 19th or something. What should I do? Anyone in the same situation before?

Thanks

A late/insufficient/non-existant response to an RFE is usually an automatic denial.

I think that I'm already aware of. I'm just wondering if anyone got in this situation and were still ok.

Civil surgeons are only in the US. They are not overseas. > https://www.uscis.gov/tools/designated-civil-surgeons

If you do not return the US, have the medical completed and RFE responded to by the expiration date, they will deny you. You will then have to refile and pay the fee again.

Did they not give you ample time to respond to the RFE? They usually give 84 days in which to respond to an RFE, though it can be shorter. > https://www.uscis.gov/ilink/docView/AFM/HTML/AFM/0-0-0-1/0-0-0-26573/0-0-0-28582.html

medical exams can be done over seas. check the link below and follow the link to find doctors near you if you are abroad.

https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/immigration-medical-examinations/finding-medical-doctor

Panel physicians abroad give exams for those that are outside the US and seeking a visa to enter the US. They use Dept. of State(DS) forms. A civil surgeon uses an I-693. They cannot use a panel physician that are designated by the consulates(DoS) to perform immigrant visa exams. A civil surgeon is not the same as a panel physician.

There are some USCIS designated civil surgeons abroad at military bases.
