Hi,

I had my interview last week (august 24) in Bogotá, Colombia. It went very well and only took like 2 minutes and I was approved but it has been a week and on monday (august 29) I checked the status of my case and says it's under administrative processing which is stressing me out so much since many people I met at the interview day already got their passports ready to be picked up. the status changed on august 29 but it's still the same... it hasn't been updated. has someone experienced this in Colombia? did it take too long?

Several Colombia VJ'ers were going through K1 and CR1 processes about 1.5 years ago. A thread was created to sort of track the progress of our cases and swap stories and tips. I believe most of us who were "approved" after interview had status change several times, including to "administrative processing". I wouldn't worry about it. This is just an interim status that they use. The important thing is if they kept the applicant's passport. That's an indication that they plan to proceed with printing the visa.

Marriage: 2014-02-23 - Colombia    ROC interview/completed: 2018-08-16 - Albuquerque

Well in my case I have not yet got the chance to make my interview, and I wrote to the NVC Expedite email to ask them what was going on since my fiancee is pregnant and she's giving birth soon. I got this answer from them:

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: CRSXXXX filed by XXXXXXXX on behalf of GABRIEL XXXXX

This petition is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. You will be notified with further instructions when the processing is complete.

So this means I got a case # from them but I'm still unable to make an appointment, and I don't know how long this is goin to take for them to finish this administrative processing.
