My fiance and i lived abroad for 5yrs, we have a child who is an american citizen and we were all planing to go on tourist visa and visit the parents. i tried applying in my country of nationality and they denied me twice. do you think that will affect my k1 visa since now we have decided to file? the first time th CO was so nice but the second he was so mean. what should i do?

You most likely were denied the tourist visa because they were afraid you'd stay in the USA. The K1 is FOR staying in the USA, so there should be no problem unless you lied to get the tourist visa.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

i told them i had a fiance and we went with my daughter...

Unfortunately, that information set off a number of flags (warnings) to the CO during your interviews. You have two different ways to file. First one is that you could get married in your country and then file a IR-1/CR-1 for you and the your child. This visa is a little quicker to attain then the K1. Under the IR-1 they are more app to approve you then the K-1 but both have their strong and weak points. The second is filing the K-1 visa.

Does the child have his/her US passport?. If not then you have CRBA and getting the US Passport to contend with. Use the Guides above to view the requirements for each visa.
