I don't like him but he is definitely the lesser of 2 evils. He talks like a shady used car salesman. Also, I was born and raised in Phoenix and have seen first hand how illegal immigration has made parts of the city look like a shanty bordertown. You should go check it out some time. Maybe go on a family vacation there. Make sure to report back how it went

You posted about your experience working with "illegals" in another thread. Like anybody else, illegal immigrants aren't going to Arizona for the scenery or the friendly people, and they are not employing themselves. Maybe an alternative to pontificating would be to stop supporting companies who employ people illegally. Don't buy their products. Don't work for them. Call them out.

Building a wall and deporting people won't do jack as long as someone is bringing the money on the table. People will find a way here. If you think Trump or congress would actually do anything to change that, I'm sure there's some nice ocean front property in Arizona you might want to check out next time your down there.

Easier said than done. I needed a job at fhe time. I didn't like working with illegals but if you work in any type of labor industry in Arizona you will be working with illegals, period. I guess I could have "called them out" and been unemployed or I could have worked and kept my mouth shut and kept a job. I chose the latter. Btw, are you trolling me?

So you had your chance to do something about illegals working in your state but and you didn't? Seems like you are part of the problem.

What chance was that? I was a low level worker right along with the illegals. I was working in a job that I always hear the lying libs and politicans say that Americans wont do. Should I have made a citizens arrest or something? Let me hear what you would have done. Edited by Merle

No I'm not trolling you. I'm sure you needed the money, and no doubt the people who were hired illegally would say the same thing. And all of you contributed to the success of an employer who keeps the system going. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy.

You criticize people for illegally working for that employer, but when you needed the money, like everyone else, you tolerated it and looked the other way. The wall is merely symbolic. It's just another part of the Trump sideshow. It won't change a system that tolerates the use of cheap labor and people who look the other way.

So what would you have done if you would have been in my position? Go on welfare? I was a 22 year old kid fresh out of the military that needed a job. I coiod have worked at a number of other construction companies but they ALL USE ILLEGAL LABOR.

That's my point. I'm not judging you. No doubt, we all would have done the same thing. That's why nothing's going to change. We're not serious about immigration reform ,we're just serious about complaining about it. If we were serious, we wouldn't be debating a wall as a solution.

Look at all the talk and complaining there used to be about healthcare reform in this country and look what got passed; Obamacare. Things do change eventually. Did you watch Trump's speech in Phoenix last week? A wall would only be the first obstacle along with other systems like e-verify to keep people from coming here illegally. It may just be all talk and complaining about the problem, but at least Trump is talking about it. I can't vote for someone who is fine with the status quo, among other things I don't care for. Trumps history of exploiting undocumented workers has been well documented. People who talk the talk but don't walk the walk don't have much credibility in my books. I don't expect either party to put much more than words into this anyway. There might be way, but there isn't a will. If there was, it would be done already.

Vote with your conscious as will I. Hillary's history of habitual lying and scandals outweighs anything Trump has done, in my opinion at least. She has talked the talk and not walked the walk for decades.
