Will I need a return flight?

Hi all, when I travel to the US on my K-1 will I need to have a return flight booked? I'm sure I remember reading a few months ago that because it is a 90 day nonimmigrant visa an onward flight is required for admission. This seems quite counterintuitive though. Thanks!

You can book a round trip ticket or a one way ticket, whichever is cheaper. It does not matter which you buy.

From the UK a return ticket is usually cheaper unless you are flying with the likes of Norwegian Air or Thomas Cook.

If you buy a return ticket, remember to cancel the return leg before the date it is booked for. You won't get any refund but some K-1 people have had problems where they didn't cancel the flight, the flight was still active with the airline with them on thassenger list and the airline updated your departure record to show that you travelled. This can cause a problem as it may look like you have abandoned your AOS.
