Biometrics question please help

Hello, I am confused and I am sorry if this has been asked before. The fee I see is for 270$ for the I-751, but 70 dollars of it is for Biometrics. We already had that done in the begining of this process when my wife first came here, we have to pay again? Do they do it twice? FYI my wife and I married while she was here on a tourist Visa, not sure if that makes a difference.

Yes, and they do it again at the N-400 stage, too.

I think Gareth said there was less to it than to the AOS/EAD biometrics though, just a photograph and fingerprints.
