Greetings, I tried to search around for this one.... My question is, the address I am living at now is definitely not going to be the address that my fiancé and I (and her children) are going to live at. I am in the process of house hunting... Should I go ahead and submit the I-129f now with my current address to "get the ball rolling" or, assuming it's approved is it going to delay things even more when I have to change the address I listed on the I-129?

How difficult is it to make an address change after the 129 is submitted but before the K1 is submitted or approved?

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Once submitted to the USCIS, you can goto their website and create an account using the receipt number you received on the NOA1.

You can simply submit a change of address to the application through the website.

As for any potential delays, this could vary I would assume depending on who has your files.

The mail you will receive at the address on the petition is hardcopy of receipt (NOA1), hardcopy of approval (NOA2), and NVC confirming file has gone to London. USCIS lists a procedure for address changes while a case is active. They don't always get that done efficiently but it won't be a major issue that slows down the visa process itself. You do want that NOA2 for use in the AOS application so chase it down if you supply an address change mid process but it never comes.

Address changes that are most important that USCIS gets done quickly and properly is during the AOS process when a greencard is due in the mail. Hopefully you will have your new address to put on those AOS forms.
