K-1 Case ready for interview but not ready for interview

Yes, I know the title looks confusing, so is the situation I will describe to you guys:

We received our NOA2 in mid August, after being approved on July 27. By that time, we already had our case number from the NVC and our case was already sent to the consulate in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro to be more precise. So far, so good. Then a few days later the CEAC case status turned to "ready" and we waited for the e-mail with instructions for more than a week, and only got it after my Fiancee e-mailed the consulate asking what's up with the delay. So, then I proceeded to fill out the DS160 and register an account on the website where I pay the fee and schedule the interview, but to my surprise, after inputting all information requested , the website showed me a message saying that my case is not ready for appointment. I couldn't pay the fee or anything. A huge conflict of information, since the CEAC. case status says ready and so the Appointment E-mail, off course.

I e-mailed technical support and after the exact same information being requested twice, they sent me the following message:

"Dear applicant,

We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for providing your information. We have escalated this case to the appropriate department. This case will be investigated and you will be notified after we find a solution.

Thank you for your patience,

The Contact Desk Support Team"

What does it mean? Did it happened to anyone else, in any other country? I know people will say that I should ask on my regional forum, which I did, but as only one person apparently had gone through this, I am asking here to see if anyone from anywhere has any idea of what the problem is.

Thank you for every help you guys can give me!

PS.: In Brazil we schedule the interview ourselves after paying the Visa Fee, and there is no Packet 3 or Packet 4, just an e-mail with instructions.
