Biometrics done at Charlotte Application Support Center?

Hi everyone,

Got a question regarding re-scheduling a biometrics appointment at the Charlotte Application Support Center.

My appointment is for next week, however it is impossible that I make it.

The only option listed in the letter is to check the "reschedule" box and mail the original back.

My questions are:

1. How long does it take to reschedule an appointment?

2. Will they delay me several weeks on account of my request?

3. Is there any way to walk in the Charlotte office?

Thanks,

I don't know if the ASC in Charlotte has changed their procedures as the last time I was there was in 2005 for my AOS. That time they actually had a list of appointments for the day and checked my name off after they looked at my appointment letter.

Hopefully, someone who has been to the Charlotte ASC lately will post a response.

Same thing for Alexandria VA. I got my notice about 2 weeks prior to interview, couldnt make it, sent off NOA back asking to reschedule, and it was rescheduled for approx 2 weeks later that th eprevous interview, so its still pretty quick!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Thanks very much, everyone. I am upset about something else. We mailed the reschedule notice via certified mail back to the Charlotte application Support Center, and it's now FRIDAY and the USPS website is showing that it STILL hasn't been delivered.

I don't understand why this letter is taking more than 1 week to go a few blocks across town!
