Hi All! Congrats to everyone who has received good news recently and good luck to those of you still waiting.

I wanted to ask if anyone else is in a similar situation. My husband and I are currently on day 70 and still no word on his EAD/AP. However, on 11/17/16 his 485 online status was changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview." He went for his biometrics on 10/31/16. It seems like many of you received an update on EAD/AP before 70 days....We live in NY. Not sure if location makes a difference at this point in the process?

AOS (485, 130, 131, 765 concurrent filing)

11/29/16...Called 800 number to expedite EAD/AP based on financial loss with proof of job offer (Day 63)

We're in the same boat as you. Our AOS package is a "family pack" so I generally expect a bit of a longer processing time, although some other family packs haven't been delayed much.

Either way, here's what ours looks like:

9/21/16 (date USCIS recv'd pkg) to now = 77 days

9/29/16 (NOA date) to now = 69 days

And depending what date they use to calculate the RFIE response, I'm looking at either a 9 or 14 day delay due to the RFIE on the I-864.

Soooo hahaha.... not sure what date they use to start the actual initial Day 1, whether it's the date the AOS/EAD/AP application package was received or the NOA date - anybody know for sure?

Maria :)

It's good not to feel alone in this process. So frustrating there is not more transparency in this process! Why do wait times vary so much? I'm a U.S. citizen petitioning for my husband, so seems like it would be straight forward. We haven't received any RFE's. Not sure why EAD/AP is not here yet. I've read some October filers have already received their EAD/APs.

I totally agree with you - timelines vary WAY too much. To top it off add the fact that some cases are not even updated with a case status online so you would never even know if you had an RFE or anything else for that matter unless you receive a notice in the mail or call in to speak with a Tier 2 rep because even the 1st level reps don't know.

Okay, that was my 1st official rant

The whole no case status updates is what has me a bit uneasy though as that could easily happen to any of us. I might call in on Friday just to check on things

CONGRATS to all who had interviews and were approved, and Congrats to all who were waiting for the EAD cards.

Our interview wont be till Fall of 2017 , Houston is so backed up, Roto Rooter could not clear them out, its okay, hubby can work, and even more time for additional evidence of a marriage.

One good thing, will be a 10 year green card, Will not have deal with USCIS until he decides to apply for citizenship.

I'm sure you could, or at least attempt to. End result will probably be up to the discretion of your local post office. I'd try - Good luck!
