Update, Just called the post office, and the letter is still on a truck going around town!! So I am trying to hunt down this delivery truck now haha

Now we just got another notification a couple of minutes ago that the EAD card was mailed! I don't see a tracking number though. Do we get one for those or only for the green cards? If we do get them for EAD, how do we get them?

You can get the tracking number from the app or when you check your status on the USCIS homepage

Scratch that on waiting for the AP. It just came through as approved on November 30 also! I hope that means they will be sending the card soon!

At this point, looking funny hunting down a USPS truck would be nothing in my eyes if it's carrying around my EAD card too!!! hahaha!!! Good luck!!!!! And take your passport as ID with you!!

We actually had to this also. They said they couldn't find the address and bla bla. and they would return it. Then my husband called the post office and suddenly they had no idea where it had gone so he asked for a manager and about an hour later the post office came by with the cards.

Incredible I tell 'ya... but this is good info to share for all of us to know, be on the look out and read to jump on it if this should happen to us too.

just an update for yall,

i had my interview last thursday 12/01 and got approved... yay

my case updated just today to approval and also i checked my mail, received my welcome letter and approval letter.. shouldn't be long for me to get my card now,

although i will have to go back for an infopass tomorrow, hence the adjudicating officer gave me a form to fill out after the interview so she could give me my approval notice. ( Form I-407 abandonment of greencard, i had one a long time ago and never filed the form for it,i didnt think i had to ..its been so long, the problem is that, when the officer gave me the form there weren't any instructions with it. so on line 3 of the form i put my current legal name on it instead of my former name... bummer... i looked up the instructions when i got home and it says to enter the alien name that is shown on the greencard, which is my former name.. so yeah now i just want to make sure they wont think i am abandoning my fresh new greencard, just for future reference, hence i want to apply for citizenship.

for everybody who is still waiting, i wish yall a speedy approved greencard

I just received an update on my case (I-485). The status changed to: "Card Was Mailed To Me". I am so happy! I am so excited that it went so fast, but I do have to say that it feels a bit weird. That being said though, I of course am very grateful!

I said this many times already, but I really hope and wish that everyone will have a speedy process as well. Have a good night!

Little Update lol

Was able to hunt down the USPS delivery truck around 4:45Pm. He told he can't give me the letter right now and that I should go to the post office before the close at 5:30pm. So i got back in my truck and went to the post office and asked them if they can hold the letter for me. They told me they will leave a note and once the delivery driver comes back around 7pm they would look for the letter and hold it for me, so I can pick it up tomorrow.

Hopefully all this will work out and I can just pick up the letter tomorrow, so I can actually see what was wrong with it lol

I did make an service request with the USCIS just in case, and they told me usually they have to wait until they receive the return letter and then they will ship it out again to the address I left with the service request "which is the same as always" lol. This whole process can take anywhere for 3-8 weeks they told me.... My new jobs starts on the 2nd next year... so much drama haha

We were here worrying and praying and God already had it worked out! I checked the tracking on our case numbers this morning and there was nothing. I was getting more and more discouraged. I happened to check about 2 hours later and then I saw that the EAD tracking was updated! We didn't get the electronic notice until this morning but it was actually approved on 11/30/16 (Day 69)! We are waiting to see if the AP has also already been approved and when the card will be mailed! The job search is starting in earnest now! Thank you everyone for your support!

This is absolutely ridiculous. Already scheduled a call back from a Tier 2 or manager from USCIS so I can tell them what I think about them.

That is so ridiculous, I'm even sitting here all flustered on your behalf as well. You would think they'd have a system in place to verify and double check stuff like this.
