Hey everyone,

This morning I received a text that my case had been updated :-) I was very surprised to see that and honestly I wasn't sure what it could be, but it's actually reality! My I-485 case status changed to "Case Was Approved" :dancing: It states that they will mail me my approval notice.

I really cannot believe this happened today and so fast after applying for the AOS. I hope everyone's case will go this fast and I wish everyone good luck of course :-) I'll keep you posted in regards to when I received the letter and what it says in the letter.

Just got notified that we will have our AOS interview on February 1st, in Detroit. Was hoping for no interview, but at least we'll have sooner rather than later.

Congratulations, the same happened to me a few days ago. Couldn't believe it at first but hey, this is a great news. I'm waiting for my letter as well.

My hubby's advanced parole (131) and EAD were approved today. :dancing: Hopefully it will arrive in next 2 weeks.

Are there any restrictions to him doing some freelance work in Canada while traveling there to handle some housekeeping details ?

Also, has anyone had experience using their AP in general? I hear different things about it. I figured Canada would not be risky. He was residing there legally on student visa (which is still valid) and he still is in school as we speak. But he is originally from West Africa, so I don't know if the immigration officer could give him issues.

We are in Houston, its taking over a year for an interview, and we will be interviewed. We have a long way to go before interview day, and will need to get a new medical done right before interview day..

My wife received her EAD today. :dancing:

One tip: I'm registered at USPS, so anything going to my address, I get an email/text.

This tracking was coming from Kansas City, MO. I wasn't sure because I was searching online and everybody was talking about Kentucky.

They send EADs using PRIORITY MAIL, so it has a tracking number, and it will trigger that automated system. I hope this tip makes your jouney life easier.

Tomorrow she will go to SSA Office.

Oh ok, thanks for clarifying . We are doing the k1 visa and it seems to have a 50/50 chance for interview. I had not realized that! Learned something new.
