Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone had a great time with family and/or friends.

I just checked my mailbox and I received my Social Security number :-) Does anyone know how to now get my driver's license? I know I have to do the tests again, but do I go to the DMV first and do the theoretical test and then schedule my driver's test or can I do everything in one go? :-)

Got a notification my RFIE was mailed on I 485 ONLY -10/19/2016 but not received

So i called USCIS and placed a SR on 11/14/2016 and yet still don t have the hard

copy of the RFE . Am currently on day 71 today , I intend to settle for an info pass next week BUT i have just two questions guys :

1. Does RFE on I 485 affects my I 765 ?

2. My Co-sponsor is a permanent resident and qualified to sponsor my application with all required documents submitted ..I HOPE HE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A CITIZEN?

1)Yes, the RFIE halts the I765 application also.

2) No, he doesn't need to be a citizen.

To Apply For A New Texas Drivers License In Person

Bring all the necessary new Texas drivers license information to the DMV office. Examples of the documents are listed below.

Proof Of Identity:

Well 6 weeks after Bio, and 4 weeks after RFE response received and still no update -.- really hope to hear something soon "this week"

Same thing here, but no RFE at all for us so no clock stopping. We don't even have enough money for groceries for next week or to pay our electric bill. I hope we both hear something good soon.

I bet you will hear this week, sometimes I think the Concurrent filings such as yours and mine take a tad longer for EAD to be approved.

Received my EAD/AP in the mail over the weekend! So thrilled, and such a relief.

Started work up again today and feel a lot better being able to contribute financially.

However...it does raise additional questions: I arrived on a J1 Working Holiday Visa, but the J1 expired on November 14th. I am applying for an Adjustment of Status (Spouse) and working under an EAD - does this mean I need to pay FICA taxes now?
