I'm not sure I understand your question. But the counting date is the received date.

it's normally 90 days from that but have seen it gone faster in the July/August filers.

If you hit the 75 days you can do a service request online.

I meant the 90 days are like the limit for EAD. But is there a limit for the biometric appointment?

Adjustment of Status from F1

09/21: Documents sent

09/23: Documents received according to USPS tracking

09/26: Case receipt (Day 0)

10/05: Fingerprint fee accepted (Day 9)

90 days are not a limit.

No not really but of course you have to have it and should be within about 60 days from filing. There are quite a few from August filers there are still waiting for theirs unfortunately.

On their website where you check your case or at the app.

Being from NY I hope your wait won't be crazy long.

Yes, I hope I will not be waiting that long for my interview. My AOS is processing really fast and hopefully it keeps the momentum.

Just received texts that my RFIE response has been received. Does anyone know what the next steps are typically and the expected timeline?

My congressman's office also asked me to get in touch with them again once I send out the RFIE response - was wondering though if I should do it now or if I should wait until USCIS says something like "Evidence is accepted" or something like that? Is that a typical or does it go straight to adjudication from this point on?

Glad to see it's moving for some!

Still nothing since biometrics, and still waiting to hear back from the EAD expedite request. I requested it a week ago and sent everything last Friday, so tomorrow would mark 5 working days since they received everything (I wasn't able to fax the documents until the afternoon on Friday so I don't count it as a day they worked on it...). It'd be nice to hear back whatever their decision...

Ah cute, I just received an email from USCIS

We received your request to expedite the decision on your application. Your case is currently under review. You will receive a decision or notice of further action shortly.

I'm just glad to know they have the case, got all the docs, are making a decision!

The next step is basically just a waiting game. The status won't change from that to accepted or rejected. If they reject it they would send another RFE/RFIE and if they accept it it would continue on to adjudication.

Hi Maria,

I did double check the mailing address on all forms before submitting. Somehow they changed my mailing address for the I485 for one digit (from 2980 to 29580), which of course rendered it undelivered. The moment I realized their mistake I made the call to USCIS (10 days ago), put in a service request, and also put in a service request for not having received my Biometrics Appointment Notice yet (they asked me for a postal address, which I gave the correct one for). I know service requests take 15+ days to process, but it kind of irks me that they couldn't change my address over the phone...they wouldn't even confirm over the phone what address they have on file.

Have now submitted an e-request.

I did find it interesting...

I have my cases setup to receive texts and emails for notifications and my initial NOAs were received by both text & email. My RFIE was received by a text msg (duplicate text msgs at that too) but no email... weird <_<

So just a heads up everyone... I would highly suggest to create the myUSCIS account and set yourself up for text/email notifications AND then download the case status app on your phone and set it to check the status for you automatically.

It's just another way to make sure you are on top of your cases and don't miss any notifications.
