Got the biometrics done today! I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and smoothly everything with. The Milwaukee office had terrible reviews but everyone was really nice to us.

We are having a little bit of drivers license drama too. I had called ahead and asked what my husband all needed in order to get a U.S. drivers license and was told he just needed to bring his foreign license. I should have known that sounded too good to be true...

So anyway go to the DMV on my lunch break with his license and the person we met with said he needed to come back with other documentation, and made a list for us (it just said passport and SS card). A little disappointed, but whatever, he was super nice and helpful and there is a Chipotle down the road so it wasn't a completely wasted trip.

Next week we came back with the guys list and everything on it, and the first woman promptly turned us away saying we needed proof of his status (I-94). I was significantly less patient this time around as we had a list that the guy signed and guaranteed would be enough, but I guess not. We are going with his I-94 tomorrow.. hopefully for the last time.

Just got notified that we will have our AOS interview on February 1st, in Detroit. Was hoping for no interview, but at least we'll have sooner rather than later.

It's irritating when the people don't even know what they are doing then freaking go ask somebody there knows before you give people an answer!

I'm a little nervous about the biometrics... I was reading reviews for the ASC closest to us and some have the worst experience ever and others don't. I'm just worried because my wife doesn't speak English... I'm assuming they try to have people there who speak other languages, like Spanish, right? :unsure:

Why don't request for a translator before you visit? They can accommodate you guys.

go with here so I can translate for her n help fill d form out but they may have person that speak Spanish

Depends. Some of the more busy centers will not allow persons without appointment inside.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Hey guys. SO my husband is doing his driver's test next week! Yay. My question is.. on his State ID and driver's license it says it expires in November (basically after the 90 day period). After the Biometrics do they give some sort of paper with an expiration date on it? The SOS office stated that in order to issue a license with a newer expiration date that's what they would need.. some sort of paperwork with a new expiration date. :\ Does anyone have any experience with this?

He would have to wait until he receives the EAD card and/or the green card approval notice.
