It seems a lot of people have RFEs for the I-864. I received mine in the mail today and I am filling out everything okay and sending it out today. I have a question...my mom and I are sponsors for my husband. On Part 5, do we both put the household size as 2 on our respective copies of the I-864?

It's just absolutely nerve-wreaking to get that...I don't even know what it could potentially be...which is what makes it even more stressful.

It will all work out, have faith....... I know its nerve wracking, but nothing you can do is wait for RFE, and then address it head on.

I, like y'all, am one of the lucky people who get to join this journey! Because the K1 visa wasn't enough of a ride!

I need to figure out how to fill out that timeline that attaches to profile...

9/20/16- AOS mailed (485, 131, 765)

9/27/16-Text messages from USCIS

10/3/16- Letters in mail with NOA1 for all 3 forms

10/6/16- Biometrics appt date and time

I forgot to submit passport photos for the 131 and 765 forms, so I am waiting to see what happens, in terms of the RFE.

I submitted the page the medical examiner gave by hubby during his medical exam but we did not have the sealed envelope (that was taken at his POE and we are under the impression that they will ensure USCIS gets it) . Ensure being the shaky word!!

It took one week for me to get the text, one week for me to get the hardcopy NOA1's, and 3 days from then to get the biometrics letter.

I am optimistic about the timeline so far and am praying that any potential RFE's will come sooner. We really are anxious to get the work permit. I wish they were more efficient! Don't they want people working!

YOUR household size will be 2, assuming you and your husband live along together without children. Your mother will need to add numbers for anyone she lists on her household in her taxes (ex. a spouse, any children or other dependents) the form should have lines for different situations and then automatically add up the household in the end...

Got it. We all live together, but my mom is exempt from filing taxes, so I'm not her dependent. I put 2 for the household size on mine, and 2 for the household size on hers. I tried to provide my proof of income because I get assistance from the VA but I only have nine months left. So worst case scenario is they disregard my income and only use my mom's. But it is all filled out. For some reason, my RFE said she didn't meet the income guidelines, but my mom makes well over the amount

Hi there, quick question if you don't mind sharing details... what was missing or wrong originally, was it the household size question or something else?

LOL No problem! So in full, I did not provide proof of current income; I needed to submit tax returns for my mom, the joint sponsor; she also needed to submit W-2s or 1040s; and it said she did not meet the income guidelines for 125% of the poverty guidelines. Numbers 2 and 3 did not apply to her so I had to submit proof of that. Also I had to submit evidence that she did meet and exceed the income guidelines.

Cause I order tax transcripts from IRS for past 3 filing years, along with letter of employment is what I submitted. Oh and 6 months of recent pay stubs.

Did not submit W2's or 1040's RFE coming my way???? (I do meet the Poverty guide line)

I did not submit W-2 copies either since I also included the last 3 years of tax transcripts, employer letter and 6 mos. of paystubs.

Same here, I submitted tax transcripts. Those are perfectly good to use.

how do we get Bio appointment? A letter?

I got my text messages on 9/23 and didn't hear anything about Biometrics yet
