I don't believe so (and I can't see why it would?), but I can't say for sure since that's just information I got when I was searching the forums before I filed for AOS. :unsure: If you're worried about it, you could try posting in the larger forum to see if anyone else has experience with it!

hi yall,

i am gonna jump in here as well, i originally filed in June and went thru Biometrics but then i received the oh so regretted RFIE for I-485, They wanted the I-864 instead of the I-864w but to make the long story short, i finally send in my response to the RFIE on Sept. 27 , they received my response on Sept. 29 and as far as i know the Count starts over. so here i am waiting again.

Wow an RFE so early on. Was there anything else they wanted?

I know! Less than a month lol but I have a feeling it was for my I-864. Even though I triple-checked everything, I forgot to add supporting documents for it...booooo!!! :sleepy: if it's not that, then I don't know what it may be for.

My husband and I were just talking about that, at least we have it early on in the process and we can get things resolved quickly. I hope this process goes by fast besides this RFE. And the good thing is, I was reading the USCIS website, and it says that if the RFE for initial evidence is for the I-485, the "clock" for the employment authorization won't start over, it will just stop until they receive our evidence. My husband is relieved because he really wants to work. :cry::clock:

Well guys finally got my request for initial evidence for my i485 they need the i864 which I knew it would be I got 87 days to reply before I get deny!!!! Question thou guys my husband never worked 2013 or 2014 so no tax was file cause he had no income he worked 2015 which I have that transcript i have 2012 transcript too guys help

If he didn't work and didn't have to file taxes, then you have to provide an explanation. He can log on to the IRS website and print copies/records of his tax returns for the years you're missing.

Hi guys! Joining the bandwagon here. I'll update my signature tomorrow since this is my first post and I think you have to post once before the forum allows you to add on a signature block.

I'm doing as AOS (marriage to US citizen) from an H1B1 (Singapore-USA FTA Visa). My wife and I submitted through our attorney on 9/8. Checks were cashed on 09/20 and we received hard-copy NOA1s on 09/23. So far no RFEs and it says the fingerprint fee was accepted on 09/16. All receipt numbers are working online. Didn't receive any text messages or email notifications though :/

My predicament is that I have a job offer (starting 10/3) and the company had to push it back a couple of weeks so I could either receive my NOA for my change of employer petition (I-129) from my work visa or my expedited EAD card - whichever comes sooner. My congressman's office has been super helpful in helping expedite. They called USCIS and submitted evidence on my behalf, although USCIS said I had to get my biometrics done first. USCIS told my Congressman's office that it is scheduled on 10/11 and that they've mailed it out already - still waiting on getting the hardcopy biometrics letter though (hopefully early this week). After that I'm just going to do a walk-in ASAP and then resubmit by EAD expedite request through my Congressman's office, per their instruction.

No, that is weird. Someone must of opened it somewhere along the way, or someone from your neighborhood or own house. All envelopes come sealed.

Oh man that makes me a little worried. Whoever opened likely know had our case numbers and my husbands A-number. Thankfully the Social Security field on the sheet was left blank or they would have that too.

I don't want to think that some jerk saw a letter from Immigration Services and decided to be nosey, but knowing some people in me neighborhood I wouldn't be that surprised as well..

Just a quick question about that though. I filled in all the forms with my new married name and in the letter it mentions that you have to bring a form of identification such as your passport or driving licence, but both of those documents have my "old" name on it. Will this be a problem?

When you fill out the form at the appointment you must list the old name there. You won't have problem.
