Anybody got rfe for i485??? Am wondering what they want? I didn't send a i864 cause I need a joint sponsor n my husband didn't work 2013 n 2014 n part so I he didn't file tax for those years I think that's what they want am worried I only got the text message today so am waiting for it

Confused....

Your husband still need to do the I-864 since he is the main sponsor and then the joint sponsor also do the I-864.

What did you all use to fill in your forms? I work on mac, so I downloaded the forms and then completed them as PDFs. I just went over and the name didn't appear on p.11 but nothing was deleted from any other sections! Am quite relieved, that was a sudden stress

Wait, so if my mom is our sponsor and I am the USC was I supposed to fill out the I-864 as well?

Ha looks like we did the same exact thing. Oh well, as long as it doesn't delay work authorization whats a few more weeks waiting for the green card

I think they say it will but some users have reported getting their EAD approval before they even receive an RFE so it may just be down to luck

It is my understanding that....

I-864 Must be filled out by the spouse as they are the primary sponsor even if the income is below the poverty guidelines or even nil, if you have a joint sponsor they fill out a separate I-864. It is also my understanding that you must send in all pages of the forms even if there are blank pages

If you get a RFE this will usually delay your EAD/AP for the amount of time it takes for you to send in the necessary information as requested.

There are always exceptions to the rule, I imagine this is down to processing times, which field office, who picks up the file?!

Sounds about right. If you get a request for initial evidence (RFIE), then your EAD/AP cases will also be out on hold. However, some RFE's might come later (after EAD/AP processing is finished).

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

how long until I can check my cases numbers on USCIS and the APP? Is there a time frame or something? Because as of right now it won't find my case numbers.
