Well, I just found out by reading another post about RFEs for the I-864, that I will most likely be receiving an RFE. Turns out, the I-864 at the last page has a section for additional info and it automatically prints the sponsor's name there. I deleted the name there because it made it look like there was additional info - which there isn't. To my surprise, I should have double check the form again but when you delete the name from the additional info section it automatically deletes the name from anther place in the form where it asks for sponsor's name. Somebody got an RFE for that sooo I'll be expecting an RFE now

Yeah, that was the most ridiculous thing I have seen. Rather than trying to make it easier for everyone, they make it harder and more confusing. I at first thought I had mistakenly typed my name there so I deleted it because it does make it look like there's additional info or else why would you even begin to fill out that section?

Anyways, it's an easy fix so as soon as I get that RFE in the mail I'm sending it right back the next day with another complete I-864 and backup with cover letter. The worst part is the waiting for the RFE notice.

cause if you look at the form Part 11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION you only fill it out, including your name IF you have additional information

That was exactly my thinking, you only fill it out IF you have additional information.

So if you delete the name from there in Part 11. additional info - go to section 4, (pg 3) (bottom left) and it automatically deletes the sponsor's full name from that section if you deleted the name from Part 11.

But if you delete the name from there it removes it from a part of the application where you do need a name.

Check your copy so you can at least know and have a response ready for the RFE.

I'm assuming we'd get an RFE... I don't know the stats on everybody who has done that and if they indeed got an RFE or not for it.

For fun, I re filled out the I-864 EZ form and yep, it carries over the Sponsors name to last page, and I did delete it on my original copy........

Check your copy so you can at least know and have a response ready for the RFE.

I'm assuming we'd get an RFE... I don't know the stats on everybody who has done that and if they indeed got an RFE or not for it.

Super hopeful thinking but maybe if this is a problem that is happening to everyone they might let it slide if everything else is perfect... fingers crossed!

If we do get an RFE for this will it delay getting work authorization?

Did you guys even use Additional Info? Because I didnt even send that page in, I was done after Part 8, didn't have a interpreter, preparer, or additional info
