Just left my interview at the ATL office! It was really quick ! It literally took 10 minutes and we got approved on the SPOT ! Glad this step is out of the way!

Hi Guys!

 

We just want to touch base, September filer here. I know most of you already got your Green cards and some are still waiting. But NY is one of the cities that has a long wait time to get scheduled for an interview (10-12 months). 

 

We finally received our interview date on July 28th. I received the e-mail this morning and we are both excited and nervous at the same time.... still waiting for that letter to arrive to give us more details.

I am still waiting in Seattle. I had filed an inquiry which they just got back to me with:

Congrats on the interview notice, I know your happy about it and nervous at same time.

I will be too when our comes, but instead of nervous, I will be in the panic mode........... (I'm sure they will light their torches and scream, Burn the Witch) 

 

Our filing dates are close, but we are in Houston, and Houston is worse on waiting.

Thank you!! I know the feeling, it tests our patience and kills us slowly with this long wait. There is nothing we can do but just wait. Im sure you guys will be fine on your interview and I hope I don't pass out on our interview lol!! 

How long is the wait time on Houston? a year?

Yes 12 months to I've seen longer then 15 months.

I work with agencies like USCIS,      CBP, USDA, EPA, DOT,FDA,  so I know how they can be , but USCIS scares me.

Its not my first filing, my former husband an Egyptian,  after we were married for a year and filed with USCIS, he married his former wife while married to me.  

So of course I ended the marriage,  but I know USCIS will be hard on me over the past filing.     I cancelled the process before our case was approved.

 

And I'm older then my husband, 20 years,   I don't look it at all, but been together 5 years, have joint everything, and trying to buy a house now.  He is currently on our apartment lease.

So yeah, Im terrified, and I know my temper , if I lose it there with them........  I just wish they would be a home visit, I would hold the door wide open, offer them coffee and tell them to look around all you want, open the closet, the dresser and night stand draws, and check the laundry basket.

You guys will be fine. Also, you guys don't need to fill out or pay for the I-751 which is really good. The processing of I-751 is very slow also, takes up to a year or more. 

 

I am bringing our daughter to the interview. Hopefuly they just approve us right away without any hassles and let us wait again. *fingers crossed*

Hi guys,

 

Just a Q.

 

I just received the letter for our interview, July 28 at 1pm. It states what I need to bring but most of them were submitted when I filed it. Ofc, I have more stuff  to add to show our marriage is bona fide like our son's birth certificate etc. The list has those tiny boxes, do they check it off if they need something specific from me? Also, my medical expires on September, do I need to provide a new one?
