So I had my marriage interview yesterday and I can't tell. My husband messed up my middle name and mother's name. He also didn't know the relationship I had to an uncle and a friends name. Aside that... everything was fine. The interviewer said he had made up his mind but didn't tell us his decision. Said to wait for a letter in the mail. Then he went on to discuss theories and things happening in the world with my husband.

I am really worried. Any thoughts?

That does not sound to good to be honest. If he directly said he had made up his mind he usually would have told you on the spot if you were approved.

Hope I'm wrong though!

Are you the beneficiary? Was this an interview in the US (adjustment of status) or in Nigeria? Your profile says CR1 visa, but you're posting in an AOS forum.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

That's what I thought too. And I was told the interviewer is a bit difficult. So I'm really not expecting anything good.

I am the beneficiary. It's was an interview in the US, Pittsburgh to be precise. And it is an AOS interview.

Was it Stokes? Did you/your husband get a lot of questions that you got right? Did you bring evidence like pictures and joint finances?

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

It was not stokes. I got all my questions right. But he honestly didn't ask us sooo many questions. I felt like he could have asked more. We have joint finances which we brought.. joint tax, 2 bank accounts, one credit card, car insurance, electric bill and lease. Our camera got stolen so we lost a lost of pictures.. we brought a couple we managed to find but they were just there... I was a bit upset with our picture situation.

If I were to make a wild guess, I would think you have passed. But, please don't get your hopes up based on that. Did you arrive on a K1?

So it was the USC there couldn't answer the questions and not the beneficiary? Confused now as it sounded like it was you husband=beneficiary?

What does your online status say now?

I heard that particular interviewer is difficult. I am demoralized. No I didn't. I was here as a student and met him in school.

Yes... it was the USC that couldn't answer the questions. No. My husband is the USC... I am the beneficiary.

My status still says interview is scheduled. No updates

So my interview is in one day and I have been reading some of the questions that they might ask us and I am curious as to know how do they verify our answers. Like if they ask if one of us drinks coffee in the morning, or what color our bedroom wall is... Like do they make us both write answers before the interview?

That sounds more like stoke answers ... I don't think you should expect that kind of questions.
