St Louis is only processing December 2015 so there's a way to go yet, but to be fair that doesn't mean anything as I know someone who filed after me that was processed through STL, got an RFIE and was approved weeks ago! Who knows, just gotta wait it out.

Uh so, probably irrelevant this late in the ball game but just for the sake of updates, my husband received his green card in the mail back in late December, right before we left for my hometown for Christmas. 

 

Very surprising as the wait times for our service center (Milwaukee) were estimated at longer than average.

I just checked my case and is still at NBC should i put a SR because make me nervous that my case is not send to local office yet. Is it stuck at the background check ? Most of the cases with similar timline are eather approved or they are ready to be schedule for an interview.

I don't think it would do any good, if you're still within normal processing times they'll just tell you to wait.

So we received our Notice for interview for March 3rd. This includes the list of what we need to bring during the interview. Sadly, we are required to submit form I-693. We did our medical exam in my home country but of course due to the long process of AOS from the time we did the medical, it was  more than a year. So another expense for us.

 

Anyone here who did the i-693 and how much it cost? I searched the civil surgeon near us using our zipcode on the USCIS website, is that how you find your civil surgeon to do the medical again? We are from San Diego, CA. Thanks guys for any info.

A...If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. Regardless of if you are exempt from a medical exam, you are still required to complete certain portions of the I-693 and have a Civil Surgeon certify the form (and seal it in an evelope). Specifically, you will complete Part 1 (Information about you) of the I-693 and provide both the form and your DS-3025 (if you have it, proving your vaccination history) and any proof of required vaccinations that were completed prior to entering the US. If you do not have a copy of your DS-3025 you will need to provide sufficient evidence of your vaccination history to the Civil Surgeon (talk to the civil surgeon's office to discuss what vaccination records they accept as proof). If you do not have proof of your vaccination history the Civil Surgeon may insist on re-administering all the required vaccinations prior to completing the I-693. Once the Civil Surgeon has has verified that all required vaccinations have been performed, they will complete form I-693 Part 2 (the vaccination section) and Part 5 (the Civil Surgeon's Certification). They will then seal the form in an envelope and return it to you.

We ahould not be soing medical again. I have read and re-read the I 163 instr several times, the only thing that confuses me is it was indicated a must being in the interview notice. I am waiting for more comments on my other post.

Cristina, was your interview notice marked up? I'm assuming it's the same (generic) interview notice. I remember from mine, although it does say to bring your I-693 medical exam, off to the right it says something like (if not already submitted).

 

Double check or maybe you got a different interview notice? I doubt it or was it handwritten in maybe...? Or I could be wrong and since your medical was more than a year ago, maybe they do have a different interview notice for those they send out after medical expiration?
