Hi guys!

What is your AP status after u got the combo card? Got my combo card on Dec. 14th. But the status on my AP change on Jan. 6th we mailed your document. What does it mean? I didn't receive anything yet until now. My green card status is Case approved already on the 14th.

Question.... I have seen some people post that their status on USCIS changes to "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" - does that happen in all cases, and if so, how long does that status usually stay there until you actually get the letter with your interview date? Just curious since we filed in September and got EAD in December and now are just waiting for the interview, our status online hasn't been updated since November 4.

USCIS Process

Your field office processing times more or less determines how long you'd wait. Look up the USCIS processing times and find your field office assigned to you (based on your address) and check out their wait time.

My pd is 11 september, and i got my ead on 17 november but the i-485 is still stuck at fingerprint fee received. Does anyone with the similar timeline have the same status?

Yes, me. But I don't expect anything to happen for about 12 months so I'm not worrying about mine until at least August.

I will not look back on this journey with fond memories, but I will look back knowing that every step was worth it, whatever the outcome.

If your case is still waiting at the NBC, you're more than likely being considered for an interview waiver. Any day you could get an update where they simply approve your I-485 and send out your green card.

Stay positive and hopefully we all have smooth processing as we go thru to the very end :)

Not sure, what type of Visa did you use to enter the U.S.? I know for a fact the K-1 adjustment applicants are interview waivable, but not sure what other types are waivable as well.

My wife came with a B1/B2, and we got married after I got my citizenship.

Unfortunately, your case wouldn't be considered interview waivable. You'll definitely be scheduled for an interview.

If your case is still waiting at the NBC, you're more than likely being considered for an interview waiver. Any day you could get an update where they simply approve your I-485 and send out your green card.

Stay positive and hopefully we all have smooth processing as we go thru to the very end :)

Well, that would be nice but I think it's just a slow office and they haven't gotten around to looking at my case yet. Many before and after me have been approved without interview (one filed after me, same office AND got approved without interview), maybe it's background checks that are holding it up, who knows. But it's not worth worrying toooooooo much over.

I will not look back on this journey with fond memories, but I will look back knowing that every step was worth it, whatever the outcome.
